the heavens

And woe

to the disbelievers

the punishment

Messenger

illā (إِلَّا)

with the language

bilisāni (بِلِسَانِ)

(of) his people

so that he might make clear

for them

Then lets go astray

fayuḍillu (فَيُضِلُّ)

Allah

whom

He wills

yashāu (يَشَاءُ)

and guides

wayahdī (وَيَهْدِي)

whom

He wills

And He

(is) the All-Mighty

Bring out

your people

the light

And remind them

(of) Allah

Indeed

surely (are) the signs

for everyone

He saved you

(with) evil

and were slaughtering

your sons

and letting live

wayastaḥyūna (وَيَسْتَحْيُونَ)

your women

And in

(was) a trial

balāon (بَلَاءٌ)

your Lord

rabbikum (رَبِّكُمْ)

great

ʿaẓīmun (عَظِيمٌ)

proclaimed

ta-adhana (تَأَذَّنَ)

your Lord

rabbukum (رَبُّكُمْ)

you are thankful

shakartum (شَكَرْتُمْ)

surely I will increase you

you are ungrateful

indeed

(is) surely severe

the earth

all

Allah

certainly (is) Free of need

Praiseworthy

come to you

(the) news

(of) those who

alladhīna (الَّذِينَ)

(were) from

min (مِنْ)

14:9:6

before you

qablikum (قَبْلِكُمْ)

the people

qawmi (قَوْمِ)

of Nuh

nūḥin (نُوحٍ)

and Aad

waʿādin (وَعَادٍ)

14:9:10

and Thamud

wathamūda (وَثَمُودَ)

and those who

wa-alladhīna (وَالَّذِينَ)

(were) from

min (مِنْ)

14:9:13

after them

baʿdihim (بَعْدِهِمْ)

14:9:14

None

lā (لَا)

14:9:15

knows them

yaʿlamuhum (يَعْلَمُهُمْ)

except

Allah

Came to them

jāathum (جَاءَتْهُمْ)

their Messengers

with clear proofs

bil-bayināti (بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ)

but they returned

faraddū (فَرَدُّوا)

aydiyahum (أَيْدِيَهُمْ)

their mouths

Indeed we

[we] disbelieve

in what

you have been sent

ur'sil'tum (أُرْسِلْتُمْ)

with [it]

bihi (بِهِ)

and indeed we

(are) surely in

doubt

you invite us

so that He may forgive

the believers

(is) for us

lanā (لَنَا)

14:12:3

that not

allā (أَلَّا)

14:12:4

we put our trust

natawakkala (نَتَوَكَّلَ)

14:12:5

upon

ʿalā (عَلَى)

14:12:6

Allah

l-lahi (اللَّهِ)

14:12:7

while certainly

waqad (وَقَدْ)

He has guided us

hadānā (هَدَانَا)

to our ways

subulanā (سُبُلَنَا)

And surely we will bear with patience

walanaṣbiranna (وَلَنَصْبِرَنَّ)

what

harm you may cause us

Allah

so let put (their) trust

falyatawakkali (فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ)

the ones who put (their) trust

l-mutawakilūna (الْمُتَوَكِّلُونَ)

14:13:1

And said

waqāla (وَقَالَ)

those who

alladhīna (الَّذِينَ)

14:13:3

disbelieved

kafarū (كَفَرُوا)

14:13:4

to their Messengers

lirusulihim (لِرُسُلِهِمْ)

14:13:5

Surely we will drive you out

lanukh'rijannakum (لَنُخْرِجَنَّكُمْ)

14:13:6

of

min (مِنْ)

14:13:7

our land

arḍinā (أَرْضِنَا)

14:13:8

or

aw (أَوْ)

14:13:9

surely you should return

lataʿūdunna (لَتَعُودُنَّ)

to

our religion

millatinā (مِلَّتِنَا)

So inspired

fa-awḥā (فَأَوْحَى)

to them

their Lord

rabbuhum (رَبُّهُمْ)

We will surely destroy

lanuh'likanna (لَنُهْلِكَنَّ)

the wrongdoers

And surely We will make you dwell

walanus'kinannakumu (وَلَنُسْكِنَنَّكُمُ)

(in) the land

from

after them

baʿdihim (بَعْدِهِمْ)

That

dhālika (ذَلِكَ)

(is) for whoever

liman (لِمَنْ)

fears

standing before Me

maqāmī (مَقَامِي)

and fears

wakhāfa (وَخَافَ)

My Threat

And they sought victory

wa-is'taftaḥū (وَاسْتَفْتَحُوا)

and disappointed

tyrant

And they will come forth
