defiantly disobedient

they will reach

to both of you

Through Our Signs

you two

antumā (أَنْتُمَا)

and (those) who

wamani (وَمَنِ)

follow you

ittabaʿakumā (اتَّبَعَكُمَا)

(will) be the dominant

And We caused to follow them

you were

a dweller

thāwiyan (ثَاوِيًا)

(the) people

(of) Madyan

madyana (مَدْيَنَ)

Our Verses

(as) a mercy

so that you warn

a people

(had) come to them

atāhum (أَتَاهُمْ)

warner

so that they may

You sent

arsalta (أَرْسَلْتَ)

to us

ilaynā (إِلَيْنَا)

a Messenger

rasūlan (رَسُولًا)

so we (could have) followed

fanattabiʿa (فَنَتَّبِعَ)

28:47:15

Your Verses

and we (would) have been

wanakūna (وَنَكُونَ)

the believers

l-mu'minīna (الْمُؤْمِنِينَ)

came to them

the truth

supporting each other

And they said

waqālū (وَقَالُوا)

Indeed we

innā (إِنَّا)

in all

bikullin (بِكُلٍّ)

(are) disbelievers

kāfirūna (كَافِرُونَ)

Say

qul (قُلْ)

28:49:2

Then bring

fatū (فَأْتُوا)

28:49:3

a Book

bikitābin (بِكِتَابٍ)

28:49:4

from

min (مِنْ)

28:49:5

that

ʿindi (عِنْدِ)

28:49:6

(of) Allah

l-lahi (اللَّهِ)

28:49:7

which

huwa (هُوَ)

28:49:8

(is) a better guide

ahdā (أَهْدَى)

than both of them

min'humā (مِنْهُمَا)

that I may follow it

attabiʿ'hu (أَتَّبِعْهُ)

if

you are

kuntum (كُنْتُمْ)

truthful

ṣādiqīna (صَادِقِينَ)

their desires

(is) more astray

than (one) who

mimmani (مِمَّنِ)

follows

ittabaʿa (اتَّبَعَ)

his own desire

hawāhu (هَوَاهُ)

without

bighayri (بِغَيْرِ)

guidance

hudan (هُدًى)

Allah

Indeed

the wrongdoers

Muslims

they are patient

bil-ḥasanati (بِالْحَسَنَةِ)

the evil

and from what

We have provided them

razaqnāhum (رَزَقْنَاهُمْ)

they spend

yunfiqūna (يُنْفِقُونَ)

And when

wa-idhā (وَإِذَا)

they hear

samiʿū (سَمِعُوا)

vain talk

l-laghwa (اللَّغْوَ)

they turn away

aʿraḍū (أَعْرَضُوا)

from it

waqālū (وَقَالُوا)

For us

our deeds

and for you

walakum (وَلَكُمْ)

your deeds

aʿmālukum (أَعْمَالُكُمْ)

Peace (be)

we seek

the ignorant

the guidance

l-hudā (الْهُدَى)

with you

we would be swept

our land

a sanctuary

secure

We have destroyed

which exulted

(in) its means of livelihood

maʿīshatahā (مَعِيشَتَهَا)

And these

fatil'ka (فَتِلْكَ)

(are) their dwellings

masākinuhum (مَسَاكِنُهُمْ)

not

lam (لَمْ)

28:58:10

have been inhabited

tus'kan (تُسْكَنْ)

28:58:11

from

min (مِنْ)

28:58:12

after them

baʿdihim (بَعْدِهِمْ)

except

a little

qalīlan (قَلِيلًا)

And indeed [We]

He (had) sent

their mother (town)

a Messenger

(of the) life

(of) the world

and its adornment

(is) with

Allah

l-lahi (اللَّهِ)

(is) better

and more lasting

wa-abqā (وَأَبْقَى)

So (will) not

afalā (أَفَلَا)

28:60:15

you use intellect

taʿqilūna (تَعْقِلُونَ)

Then is (he) whom

afaman (أَفَمَنْ)

We have promised him

a promise

enjoyment

We declare our innocence

the punishment

repented

righteousness

then perhaps

[that]

he will be

yakūna (يَكُونَ)

28:67:10

of

mina (مِنَ)

28:67:11

the successful ones

l-muf'liḥīna (الْمُفْلِحِينَ)

And your Lord

warabbuka (وَرَبُّكَ)

creates

yakhluqu (يَخْلُقُ)

what

He wills

and chooses

His Bounty

be grateful

And We will draw forth

a witness

your proof

bur'hānakum (بُرْهَانَكُمْ)

Then they will know

and (will be) lost

the treasures

(is) better

khayrun (خَيْرٌ)

believes

and does

waʿamila (وَعَمِلَ)

righteous (deeds)

ṣāliḥan (صَالِحًا)

And not

walā (وَلَا)

it is granted

yulaqqāhā (يُلَقَّاهَا)

except

illā (إِلَّا)

(to) the patient ones
