Our Signs

the punishment

that you may find tranquility

in them

and He placed

love

and mercy

waraḥmatan (وَرَحْمَةً)

Indeed

for a people

and the diversity

and your colors

wa-alwānikum (وَأَلْوَانِكُمْ)

Indeed

surely (are) Signs

laāyātin (لَءَايَاتٍ)

for those of knowledge

lil'ʿālimīna (لِلْعَالِمِينَ)

wamin (وَمِنْ)

His Signs

(is) your sleep

manāmukum (مَنَامُكُمْ)

by night

and the day

His Bounty

He shows you

the lightning

(causing) fear

and hope

righteousness

they are preparing

the winds

(as) bearers of glad tidings

mubashirātin (مُبَشِّرَاتٍ)

and to let you taste

waliyudhīqakum (وَلِيُذِيقَكُمْ)

His Mercy

and that may sail

at His Command

their people

and they came to them

with clear proofs

bil-bayināti (بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ)

then We took retribution

fa-intaqamnā (فَانْتَقَمْنَا)

those who

alladhīna (الَّذِينَ)

committed crimes

ajramū (أَجْرَمُوا)

And it was

incumbent

upon Us

ʿalaynā (عَلَيْنَا)

(to) help

naṣru (نَصْرُ)

the believers

l-mu'minīna (الْمُؤْمِنِينَ)

Allah

(is) the One Who

sends

yur'silu (يُرْسِلُ)

the winds

l-riyāḥa (الرِّيَاحَ)

so they raise

(the) clouds

saḥāban (سَحَابًا)

then He spreads them

the sky

All-Powerful

certainly they continue

(in) disbelief

the criminals

they were

kānū (كَانُوا)

deluded

yu'fakūna (يُؤْفَكُونَ)

But will say

waqāla (وَقَالَ)

those who

alladhīna (الَّذِينَ)

30:56:3

were given

ūtū (أُوتُوا)

the knowledge

l-ʿil'ma (الْعِلْمَ)

and the faith

wal-īmāna (وَالْإِيمَانَ)

30:56:6

Verily

laqad (لَقَدْ)

you remained

labith'tum (لَبِثْتُمْ)

(the) Decree

kitābi (كِتَابِ)

(of) Allah

(of) Resurrection

walākinnakum (وَلَكِنَّكُمْ)

So that Day

fayawma-idhin (فَيَوْمَئِذٍ)

will profit

wronged

their excuses

will be allowed to make amends

We (have) set forth

for mankind

disbelieve

kafarū (كَفَرُوا)

Not

you

antum (أَنْتُمْ)

(are) except

illā (إِلَّا)

falsifiers

Allah

(the) hearts

So be patient

take you in light estimation
