You bestowed Mercy on him

the corruption

and your Lord

arrogant one

mutakabbirin (مُتَكَبِّرٍ)

40:27:10

not

lā (لَا)

40:27:11

who believes

yu'minu (يُؤْمِنُ)

(in the) Day

biyawmi (بِيَوْمِ)

40:27:13

(of) the Account

l-ḥisābi (الْحِسَابِ)

(of) Firaun

who conceal(ed)

yaktumu (يَكْتُمُ)

his faith

īmānahu (إِيمَانَهُ)

40:28:9

Will you kill

ataqtulūna (أَتَقْتُلُونَ)

a man

rajulan (رَجُلًا)

because

40:28:12

he says

My Lord

rabbiya (رَبِّيَ)

(is) Allah

l-lahu (اللَّهُ)

and indeed

waqad (وَقَدْ)

40:28:16

he has brought you

jāakum (جَاءَكُمْ)

40:28:17

clear proofs

bil-bayināti (بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ)

40:28:18

from

min (مِنْ)

40:28:19

your Lord

rabbikum (رَبِّكُمْ)

40:28:20

And if

wa-in (وَإِنْ)

40:28:21

he is

yaku (يَكُ)

40:28:22

a liar

kādhiban (كَاذِبًا)

40:28:23

then upon him

faʿalayhi (فَعَلَيْهِ)

40:28:24

(is) his lie

kadhibuhu (كَذِبُهُ)

40:28:25

and if

wa-in (وَإِنْ)

40:28:26

he is

yaku (يَكُ)

40:28:27

truthful

ṣādiqan (صَادِقًا)

(there) will strike you

he threatens you

guide

(one) who

man (مَنْ)

(is) a transgressor

(is) the kingdom

dominant

injustice

for (His) slaves

lil'ʿibādi (لِلْعِبَادِ)

And O my people

Indeed I

[I] fear

for you

any authority

sul'ṭānin (سُلْطَانٍ)

(having) come to them

atāhum (أَتَاهُمْ)

40:35:9

(it) is greatly

kabura (كَبُرَ)

40:35:10

hateful

maqtan (مَقْتًا)

near

Allah

and near

waʿinda (وَعِنْدَ)

(to be) a liar

was made fair-seeming

zuyyina (زُيِّنَ)

to Firaun

lifir'ʿawna (لِفِرْعَوْنَ)

(the) evil

(of) his deed

ʿamalihi (عَمَلِهِ)

and he was averted

the Hereafter

(of) settlement

an evil

then not

falā (فَلَا)

he will be recompensed

(the) like thereof

and whoever

righteous (deeds)

ṣāliḥan (صَالِحًا)

male

dhakarin (ذَكَرٍ)

or

female

unthā (أُنْثَى)

while he

(is) a believer

mu'minun (مُؤْمِنٌ)

fa-ulāika (فَأُولَئِكَ)

will enter

yadkhulūna (يَدْخُلُونَ)

Paradise

l-janata (الْجَنَّةَ)

they will be given provision

in it

the salvation

the Fire

You call me

that I disbelieve

in Allah

bil-lahi (بِاللَّهِ)

and (to) associate

wa-ush'rika (وَأُشْرِكَ)

40:42:5

with Him

bihi (بِهِ)

40:42:6

what

the All-Mighty

a claim

the world

the Hereafter

The Fire

they are exposed

(will be) established

the Hour

l-sāʿatu (السَّاعَةُ)

Cause to enter

adkhilū (أَدْخِلُوا)

(the) people

(of) Firaun

(in the) severest

punishment

they will dispute

the weak

to those who

lilladhīna (لِلَّذِينَ)

were arrogant

is'takbarū (اسْتَكْبَرُوا)

40:47:9

Indeed we

the earth

bighayri (بِغَيْرِ)

right

l-ḥaqi (الْحَقِّ)

wabimā (وَبِمَا)

you used to

kuntum (كُنْتُمْ)

40:75:11

be insolent

tamraḥūna (تَمْرَحُونَ)

ud'khulū (ادْخُلُوا)

(the) gates

abwāba (أَبْوَابَ)

(of) Hell

jahannama (جَهَنَّمَ)

(to) abide forever

khālidīna (خَالِدِينَ)

in it

fīhā (فِيهَا)

and wretched is

fabi'sa (فَبِئْسَ)

40:76:7

(the) abode

mathwā (مَثْوَى)

(of) the arrogant

l-mutakabirīna (الْمُتَكَبِّرِينَ)

40:77:1

So be patient

fa-iṣ'bir (فَاصْبِرْ)

indeed

inna (إِنَّ)

(the) Promise

waʿda (وَعْدَ)

40:77:4

(of) Allah

l-lahi (اللَّهِ)

(is) true

ḥaqqun (حَقٌّ)

And whether

fa-immā (فَإِمَّا)

We show you

nuriyannaka (نُرِيَنَّكَ)

40:77:8

some

baʿḍa (بَعْضَ)

ب ع ض (root)

40:77:9

(of) what

alladhī (الَّذِي)

40:77:10

We have promised them

naʿiduhum (نَعِدُهُمْ)

40:77:11

or

aw (أَوْ)

ا و (root)

40:77:12

We cause you to die

natawaffayannaka (نَتَوَفَّيَنَّكَ)

و ف ى (root)

40:77:13

then to Us

fa-ilaynā (فَإِلَيْنَا)

40:77:14

they will be returned

yur'jaʿūna (يُرْجَعُونَ)

And certainly

walaqad (وَلَقَدْ)

We have sent

arsalnā (أَرْسَلْنَا)

40:78:3

Messengers

rusulan (رُسُلًا)

40:78:4

from

min (مِنْ)

40:78:5

before you

qablika (قَبْلِكَ)

40:78:6

Among them

min'hum (مِنْهُمْ)

40:78:7

(are) who

man (مَنْ)

40:78:8

We have related

qaṣaṣnā (قَصَصْنَا)

to you

ʿalayka (عَلَيْكَ)

40:78:10

and among them

wamin'hum (وَمِنْهُمْ)

40:78:11

(are) who

man (مَنْ)

40:78:12

not

lam (لَمْ)

40:78:13

We have related

naqṣuṣ (نَقْصُصْ)

to you

ʿalayka (عَلَيْكَ)

And not

wamā (وَمَا)

is

kāna (كَانَ)

for any Messenger

lirasūlin (لِرَسُولٍ)

that

an (أَنْ)

he brings

yatiya (يَأْتِيَ)

40:78:20

a Sign

biāyatin (بِءَايَةٍ)

40:78:21

except

illā (إِلَّا)

40:78:22

by (the) permission

bi-idh'ni (بِإِذْنِ)

ا ذ ن (root)

40:78:23

(of) Allah

l-lahi (اللَّهِ)

So when

fa-idhā (فَإِذَا)

comes

jāa (جَاءَ)

(the) Command

amru (أَمْرُ)

(of) Allah

l-lahi (اللَّهِ)

it will be decided

quḍiya (قُضِيَ)

in truth

bil-ḥaqi (بِالْحَقِّ)

and will lose

wakhasira (وَخَسِرَ)

the falsifiers

for you

lakumu (لَكُمُ)

the cattle

l-anʿāma (الْأَنْعَامَ)

that you may ride

litarkabū (لِتَرْكَبُوا)

some of them

min'hā (مِنْهَا)

40:79:8

and some of them

wamin'hā (وَمِنْهَا)

40:79:9

you eat

takulūna (تَأْكُلُونَ)

ا ك ل (root)

And for you

walakum (وَلَكُمْ)

in them

fīhā (فِيهَا)

(are) benefits

manāfiʿu (مَنَافِعُ)

and that you may reach

walitablughū (وَلِتَبْلُغُوا)

through them

ʿalayhā (عَلَيْهَا)

a need

ḥājatan (حَاجَةً)

(that is) in

fī (فِي)

your breasts

ṣudūrikum (صُدُورِكُمْ)

and upon them

waʿalayhā (وَعَلَيْهَا)

and upon

waʿalā (وَعَلَى)

the ships

l-ful'ki (الْفُلْكِ)

you are carried

tuḥ'malūna (تُحْمَلُونَ)

His Signs

fa-ayya (فَأَيَّ)

(of the) Signs

āyāti (ءَايَاتِ)

(of) Allah

will you deny

tunkirūna (تُنْكِرُونَ)

Do they not

afalam (أَفَلَمْ)

travel

yasīrū (يَسِيرُوا)

through

the land

l-arḍi (الْأَرْضِ)

and see

fayanẓurū (فَيَنْظُرُوا)

how

(the) end

ʿāqibatu (عَاقِبَةُ)

(of) those who

alladhīna (الَّذِينَ)

(were) from

min (مِنْ)

qablihim (قَبْلِهِمْ)

40:82:12

They were

kānū (كَانُوا)

40:82:13

more numerous

akthara (أَكْثَرَ)

40:82:14

than them

min'hum (مِنْهُمْ)

40:82:15

and mightier

wa-ashadda (وَأَشَدَّ)

40:82:16

(in) strength

quwwatan (قُوَّةً)

and impressions

waāthāran (وَءَاثَارًا)

in

fī (فِي)

the land

l-arḍi (الْأَرْضِ)

but not

famā (فَمَا)

availed

aghnā (أَغْنَى)

them

they used to

earn

came to them

their Messengers

with clear proofs

bil-bayināti (بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ)

they rejoiced

fariḥū (فَرِحُوا)

in what

they had

ʿindahum (عِنْدَهُمْ)

of

mina (مِنَ)

the knowledge

l-ʿil'mi (الْعِلْمِ)

and enveloped

them

they used to

Our punishment

in Allah

bil-lahi (بِاللَّهِ)

Alone

waḥdahu (وَحْدَهُ)

and we disbelieve

wakafarnā (وَكَفَرْنَا)

40:84:9

in what

bimā (بِمَا)

40:84:10

we used to

kunnā (كُنَّا)

with Him

bihi (بِهِ)

associate

mush'rikīna (مُشْرِكِينَ)

40:85:1

But not

falam (فَلَمْ)

40:85:2

did

yaku (يَكُ)

40:85:3

benefit them

yanfaʿuhum (يَنْفَعُهُمْ)

their faith

īmānuhum (إِيمَانُهُمْ)

when

lammā (لَمَّا)

they saw

Our punishment
