And fear

wa-ittaqū (وَاتَّقُوا)

Allah

And upon

waʿalā (وَعَلَى)

5:11:21

Allah

l-lahi (اللَّهِ)

so let put the trust

falyatawakkali (فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ)

the believers

l-mu'minūna (الْمُؤْمِنُونَ)

And certainly

walaqad (وَلَقَدْ)

5:12:2

took

akhadha (أَخَذَ)

5:12:3

Allah

l-lahu (اللَّهُ)

5:12:4

a Covenant

mīthāqa (مِيثَاقَ)

5:12:5

(from the) Children

banī (بَنِي)

5:12:6

(of) Israel

is'rāīla (إِسْرَاءِيلَ)

5:12:7

and We appointed

wabaʿathnā (وَبَعَثْنَا)

among them

min'humu (مِنْهُمُ)

5:12:9

two

ith'nay (اثْنَيْ)

(and) ten (ie twelve)

ʿashara (عَشَرَ)

leaders

naqīban (نَقِيبًا)

5:12:12

And said

waqāla (وَقَالَ)

5:12:13

Allah

l-lahu (اللَّهُ)

5:12:14

Indeed I (am)

innī (إِنِّي)

5:12:15

with you

maʿakum (مَعَكُمْ)

5:12:16

if

la-in (لَئِنْ)

ل ا ن (root)

you establish

aqamtumu (أَقَمْتُمُ)

5:12:18

the prayer

l-ṣalata (الصَّلَوةَ)

5:12:19

and give

waātaytumu (وَءَاتَيْتُمُ)

5:12:20

the zakah

l-zakata (الزَّكَوةَ)

and you believe

waāmantum (وَءَامَنْتُمْ)

5:12:22

in My Messengers

birusulī (بِرُسُلِي)

5:12:23

and you assist them

waʿazzartumūhum (وَعَزَّرْتُمُوهُمْ)

5:12:24

and you loan

wa-aqraḍtumu (وَأَقْرَضْتُمُ)

ق ر ض (root)

5:12:25

(to) Allah

l-laha (اللَّهَ)

5:12:26

a loan

qarḍan (قَرْضًا)

5:12:27

goodly

ḥasanan (حَسَنًا)

5:12:28

surely I will remove

la-ukaffiranna (لَأُكَفِّرَنَّ)

5:12:29

from you

ʿankum (عَنْكُمْ)

5:12:30

your evil deeds

sayyiātikum (سَيِّئَاتِكُمْ)

5:12:31

and I will surely admit you

wala-ud'khilannakum (وَلَأُدْخِلَنَّكُمْ)

5:12:32

(to) gardens

jannātin (جَنَّاتٍ)

5:12:33

flow

tajrī (تَجْرِي)

ج ر ى (root)

5:12:34

from

min (مِنْ)

5:12:35

underneath them

taḥtihā (تَحْتِهَا)

5:12:36

the rivers

l-anhāru (الْأَنْهَارُ)

But whoever

faman (فَمَنْ)

disbelieved

kafara (كَفَرَ)

5:12:39

after

baʿda (بَعْدَ)

5:12:40

that

dhālika (ذَلِكَ)

among you

minkum (مِنْكُمْ)

then certainly

faqad (فَقَدْ)

5:12:43

he strayed

ḍalla (ضَلَّ)

5:12:44

(from) the way

sawāa (سَوَاءَ)

5:12:45

the right

l-sabīli (السَّبِيلِ)

5:13:1

So for

fabimā (فَبِمَا)

5:13:2

their breaking

naqḍihim (نَقْضِهِمْ)

(of) their covenant

mīthāqahum (مِيثَاقَهُمْ)

5:13:4

We cursed them

laʿannāhum (لَعَنَّاهُمْ)

5:13:5

and We made

wajaʿalnā (وَجَعَلْنَا)

their hearts

qulūbahum (قُلُوبَهُمْ)

5:13:7

hard

qāsiyatan (قَاسِيَةً)

They distort

yuḥarrifūna (يُحَرِّفُونَ)

the words

treachery

illā (إِلَّا)

and overlook

Indeed

the good-doers

l-muḥ'sinīna (الْمُحْسِنِينَ)

And from

wamina (وَمِنَ)

those who

alladhīna (الَّذِينَ)

said

qālū (قَالُوا)

Indeed we

innā (إِنَّا)

(are) Christians

naṣārā (نَصَارَى)

5:14:6

We took

akhadhnā (أَخَذْنَا)

5:14:7

their covenant

mīthāqahum (مِيثَاقَهُمْ)

5:14:8

but they forgot

fanasū (فَنَسُوا)

a part

of what

So We aroused

[the] enmity

l-ʿadāwata (الْعَدَاوَةَ)

and [the] hatred

wal-baghḍāa (وَالْبَغْضَاءَ)

(the) Day

yawmi (يَوْمِ)

(of) the Resurrection

Our Messenger

rasūlunā (رَسُولُنَا)

making clear

yubayyinu (يُبَيِّنُ)

5:15:7

to you

lakum (لَكُمْ)

5:15:8

much

kathīran (كَثِيرًا)

5:15:9

of what

mimmā (مِمَّا)

5:15:10

you used to

kuntum (كُنْتُمْ)

5:15:11

conceal

tukh'fūna (تُخْفُونَ)

of

mina (مِنَ)

5:15:13

the Scripture

and overlooking

a light

and a Book

wakitābun (وَكِتَابٌ)

clear

mubīnun (مُبِينٌ)

Guides

yahdī (يَهْدِي)

with it

bihi (بِهِ)

5:16:3

Allah

l-lahu (اللَّهُ)

5:16:4

(those) who

mani (مَنِ)

5:16:5

seek

ittabaʿa (اتَّبَعَ)

5:16:6

His pleasure

riḍ'wānahu (رِضْوَانَهُ)

5:16:7

(to the) ways

subula (سُبُلَ)

5:16:8

(of) the peace

l-salāmi (السَّلَامِ)

5:16:9

and brings them out

wayukh'rijuhum (وَيُخْرِجُهُمْ)

5:16:10

from

mina (مِنَ)

5:16:11

the darknessess

l-ẓulumāti (الظُّلُمَاتِ)

5:16:12

to

ilā (إِلَى)

5:16:13

the light

l-nūri (النُّورِ)

5:16:14

by His permission

bi-idh'nihi (بِإِذْنِهِ)

5:16:15

and guides them

wayahdīhim (وَيَهْدِيهِمْ)

5:16:16

to

ilā (إِلَى)

(the) way

ṣirāṭin (صِرَاطٍ)

straight

mus'taqīmin (مُسْتَقِيمٍ)

Certainly

disbelieved

those who

Indeed

Allah

(is) the Messiah

(of) Maryam

maryama (مَرْيَمَ)

Then who

faman (فَمَنْ)

has power

yamliku (يَمْلِكُ)

against

mina (مِنَ)

5:17:15

Allah

l-lahi (اللَّهِ)

(in) anything

shayan (شَيْئًا)

5:17:17

He intends

arāda (أَرَادَ)

to

an (أَنْ)

5:17:20

destroy

the Messiah

(of) Maryam

and his mother

and whoever

waman (وَمَنْ)

the earth

l-arḍi (الْأَرْضِ)

all

jamīʿan (جَمِيعًا)

And for Allah

walillahi (وَلِلَّهِ)

5:17:30

(is the) dominion

mul'ku (مُلْكُ)

5:17:31

(of) the heavens

l-samāwāti (السَّمَاوَاتِ)

5:17:32

and the earth

wal-arḍi (وَالْأَرْضِ)

5:17:33

and what

wamā (وَمَا)

5:17:34

(is) between both of them

baynahumā (بَيْنَهُمَا)

5:17:35

He creates

yakhluqu (يَخْلُقُ)

what

mā (مَا)

He wills

yashāu (يَشَاءُ)

and Allah

wal-lahu (وَاللَّهُ)

All-Powerful

qadīrun (قَدِيرٌ)

And said

the Jews

l-yahūdu (الْيَهُودُ)

and the Christians

wal-naṣārā (وَالنَّصَارَى)

5:18:4

We (are)

naḥnu (نَحْنُ)

(the) children

abnāu (أَبْنَؤُا)

5:18:6

(of) Allah

l-lahi (اللَّهِ)

5:18:7

and His beloved

wa-aḥibbāuhu (وَأَحِبَّاؤُهُ)

5:18:8

Say

Then why

falima (فَلِمَ)

5:18:10

(does He) punish you

yuʿadhibukum (يُعَذِّبُكُمْ)

5:18:11

for your sins

bidhunūbikum (بِذُنُوبِكُمْ)

Nay

you (are)

antum (أَنْتُمْ)

human beings

basharun (بَشَرٌ)

from among (those)

He created

khalaqa (خَلَقَ)

He forgives

yaghfiru (يَغْفِرُ)

5:18:18

[for] whom

liman (لِمَنْ)

5:18:19

He wills

yashāu (يَشَاءُ)

5:18:20

and punishes

wayuʿadhibu (وَيُعَذِّبُ)

5:18:21

whom

man (مَنْ)

5:18:22

He wills

yashāu (يَشَاءُ)

5:18:23

And for Allah

walillahi (وَلِلَّهِ)

(is the) dominion

(of) the heavens

bearer of glad tidings

a warner

a bearer of glad tidings

And Allah

All-Powerful

He placed

among you

Prophets

and made you

kings

mulūkan (مُلُوكًا)

and He gave you

waātākum (وَءَاتَاكُمْ)

He (had) given

yu'ti (يُؤْتِ)

(to) anyone

aḥadan (أَحَدًا)

the worlds

O my people

yāqawmi (يَاقَوْمِ)

Enter

ud'khulū (ادْخُلُوا)

5:21:3

the land

l-arḍa (الْأَرْضَ)

5:21:4

the Holy

l-muqadasata (الْمُقَدَّسَةَ)

which

allatī (الَّتِي)

has ordained

kataba (كَتَبَ)

Allah

your backs

adbārikum (أَدْبَارِكُمْ)

then you will turn back

(as) losers

O Musa

yāmūsā (يَامُوسَى)

Indeed

inna (إِنَّ)

in it

fīhā (فِيهَا)

(are) people

qawman (قَوْمًا)

(of) tyrannical strength

jabbārīna (جَبَّارِينَ)

and indeed we

wa-innā (وَإِنَّا)

5:22:8

never

lan (لَنْ)

5:22:9

will enter it

nadkhulahā (نَدْخُلَهَا)

5:22:10

until

ḥattā (حَتَّى)

5:22:11

they leave

yakhrujū (يَخْرُجُوا)

5:22:12

from it

min'hā (مِنْهَا)

5:22:13

and if

fa-in (فَإِنْ)

5:22:14

they leave

yakhrujū (يَخْرُجُوا)

5:22:15

[from] it

min'hā (مِنْهَا)

5:22:16

then certainly we (will)

fa-innā (فَإِنَّا)

5:22:17

enter (it)

dākhilūna (دَاخِلُونَ)

5:23:1

rajulāni (رَجُلَانِ)

5:23:3

from

mina (مِنَ)

5:23:4

those who

alladhīna (الَّذِينَ)

5:23:5

feared (Allah)

yakhāfūna (يَخَافُونَ)

5:23:6

had Favored

anʿama (أَنْعَمَ)

5:23:7

Allah

l-lahu (اللَّهُ)

5:23:8

[on] both of them

ʿalayhimā (عَلَيْهِمَا)

5:23:9

Enter

ud'khulū (ادْخُلُوا)

5:23:10

upon them

ʿalayhimu (عَلَيْهِمُ)

5:23:11

(through) the gate

l-bāba (الْبَابَ)

then when

fa-idhā (فَإِذَا)

5:23:13

you have entered it

dakhaltumūhu (دَخَلْتُمُوهُ)

5:23:14

then indeed you (will be)

fa-innakum (فَإِنَّكُمْ)

victorious

ghālibūna (غَالِبُونَ)

And upon

waʿalā (وَعَلَى)

Allah

l-lahi (اللَّهِ)

then put your trust

fatawakkalū (فَتَوَكَّلُوا)

you are

Indeed we

will enter it

nadkhulahā (نَدْخُلَهَا)

abadan (أَبَدًا)

as long as they are

in it

and your Lord

and you both fight

Indeed we

O my Lord

(over) myself

nafsī (نَفْسِي)

and my brother

wa-akhī (وَأَخِي)

so (make a) separation

fa-uf'ruq (فَافْرُقْ)

between us

believe

Fear

and seek

towards Him

to him

He wills

with [the] justice

Indeed

Allah

loves

yuḥibbu (يُحِبُّ)

the ones who are just

l-muq'siṭīna (الْمُقْسِطِينَ)

they appoint you a judge

yuḥakkimūnaka (يُحَكِّمُونَكَ)

while they (have) with them

waʿindahumu (وَعِنْدَهُمُ)

the Taurat

(is the) Command

(of) Allah

they turn away

yatawallawna (يَتَوَلَّوْنَ)

5:43:10

from

min (مِنْ)

after

baʿdi (بَعْدِ)

5:43:12

that

dhālika (ذَلِكَ)

5:43:13

and not

wamā (وَمَا)

5:43:14

those

ulāika (أُولَئِكَ)

5:43:15

(are) the believers

bil-mu'minīna (بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ)

5:44:1

Indeed

innā (إِنَّا)

5:44:2

We revealed

anzalnā (أَنْزَلْنَا)

5:44:3

the Taurat

l-tawrāta (التَّوْرَاةَ)

5:44:4

in it

fīhā (فِيهَا)

5:44:5

(was) Guidance

hudan (هُدًى)

5:44:6

and light

wanūrun (وَنُورٌ)

5:44:7

judged

yaḥkumu (يَحْكُمُ)

5:44:8

by it

bihā (بِهَا)

5:44:9

the Prophets

l-nabiyūna (النَّبِيُّونَ)

5:44:10

those who

alladhīna (الَّذِينَ)

5:44:11

had submitted (to Allah)

aslamū (أَسْلَمُوا)

5:44:12

for those who

lilladhīna (لِلَّذِينَ)

5:44:13

were Jews

hādū (هَادُوا)

and the Rabbis

wal-rabāniyūna (وَالرَّبَّانِيُّونَ)

5:44:15

and the scholars

wal-aḥbāru (وَالْأَحْبَارُ)

with what

they were entrusted

us'tuḥ'fiẓū (اسْتُحْفِظُوا)

min (مِنْ)

(the) Book

(of) Allah

l-lahi (اللَّهِ)

and they were

wakānū (وَكَانُوا)

to it

witnesses

shuhadāa (شُهَدَاءَ)

5:44:24

So (do) not

falā (فَلَا)

fear

takhshawū (تَخْشَوُا)

5:44:26

the people

l-nāsa (النَّاسَ)

5:44:27

but fear Me

wa-ikh'shawni (وَاخْشَوْنِ)

5:44:28

and (do) not

walā (وَلَا)

5:44:29

sell

tashtarū (تَشْتَرُوا)

(are) the disbelievers

And We ordained

for them

in it

the life

for the life

and the eye

wal-ʿayna (وَالْعَيْنَ)

and the nose

wal-anfa (وَالْأَنْفَ)

and the ear

for the ear

and the tooth

and (for) wounds

wal-jurūḥa (وَالْجُرُوحَ)

(is) retribution

qiṣāṣun (قِصَاصٌ)

But whoever

gives charity

taṣaddaqa (تَصَدَّقَ)

with it

then it is

fahuwa (فَهُوَ)

an expiation

kaffāratun (كَفَّارَةٌ)

for him

lahu (لَهُ)

And whoever

waman (وَمَنْ)

(does) not

lam (لَمْ)

judge

by what

bimā (بِمَا)

has revealed

Allah

[they]

(are) the wrongdoers

by what

has revealed

Allah

the defiantly disobedient

And We revealed

to you

in [the] truth

bil-ḥaqi (بِالْحَقِّ)

has come to you

the truth

We have made

jaʿalnā (جَعَلْنَا)

for you

minkum (مِنْكُمْ)

a law

shir'ʿatan (شِرْعَةً)

and a clear way

wamin'hājan (وَمِنْهَاجًا)

And if

walaw (وَلَوْ)

(had) willed

shāa (شَاءَ)

Allah

He (would have) made you

lajaʿalakum (لَجَعَلَكُمْ)

a community

ummatan (أُمَّةً)

5:48:35

one

wāḥidatan (وَاحِدَةً)

[and] but

walākin (وَلَكِنْ)

5:48:37

to test you

liyabluwakum (لِيَبْلُوَكُمْ)

fa-is'tabiqū (فَاسْتَبِقُوا)

concerning it

differing

takhtalifūna (تَخْتَلِفُونَ)

you judge

they turn away

only

intends

yurīdu (يُرِيدُ)

Allah

to

afflict them

yuṣībahum (يُصِيبَهُمْ)

for some

bibaʿḍi (بِبَعْضِ)

(of) their sins

dhunūbihim (ذُنُوبِهِمْ)

And indeed

wa-inna (وَإِنَّ)

5:49:30

many

kathīran (كَثِيرًا)

5:49:31

of

mina (مِنَ)

5:49:32

the people

l-nāsi (النَّاسِ)

5:49:33

(are) defiantly disobedient

lafāsiqūna (لَفَاسِقُونَ)

5:50:1

Is it then the judgment

afaḥuk'ma (أَفَحُكْمَ)

5:50:2

of [the] ignorance

l-jāhiliyati (الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ)

better

for a people

liqawmin (لِقَوْمٍ)

(who) firmly believe

yūqinūna (يُوقِنُونَ)

O you

yāayyuhā (يَاأَيُّهَا)

who

alladhīna (الَّذِينَ)

believe

āmanū (ءَامَنُوا)

(Do) not

the Jews

l-yahūda (الْيَهُودَ)

and the Christians

wal-naṣārā (وَالنَّصَارَى)

(as) allies

awliyāa (أَوْلِيَاءَ)

5:51:9

Some of them

baʿḍuhum (بَعْضُهُمْ)

5:51:10

(are) allies

awliyāu (أَوْلِيَاءُ)

5:51:11

(to) others

baʿḍin (بَعْضٍ)

5:51:12

And whoever

waman (وَمَنْ)

5:51:13

takes them as allies

yatawallahum (يَتَوَلَّهُمْ)

5:51:14

among you

minkum (مِنْكُمْ)

5:51:15

then indeed he

fa-innahu (فَإِنَّهُ)

5:51:16

(is) of them

min'hum (مِنْهُمْ)

5:51:17

Indeed

inna (إِنَّ)

5:51:18

Allah

(does) not

lā (لَا)

guide

yahdī (يَهْدِي)

the people

l-qawma (الْقَوْمَ)

5:51:22

the wrongdoing

l-ẓālimīna (الظَّالِمِينَ)

And you see

fatarā (فَتَرَى)

5:52:2

those

alladhīna (الَّذِينَ)

5:52:3

in

their hearts

qulūbihim (قُلُوبِهِمْ)

(is) a disease

maraḍun (مَرَضٌ)

they hasten

yusāriʿūna (يُسَارِعُونَ)

to them

fīhim (فِيهِمْ)

saying

yaqūlūna (يَقُولُونَ)

5:52:9

We fear

nakhshā (نَخْشَى)

that

an (أَنْ)

5:52:11

(may) strike us

tuṣībanā (تُصِيبَنَا)

5:52:12

a misfortune

dāiratun (دَائِرَةٌ)

But perhaps

Allah

[that]

will bring

the victory

a decision

swore

aqsamū (أَقْسَمُوا)

by Allah

bil-lahi (بِاللَّهِ)

strongest

jahda (جَهْدَ)

(of) their oaths

aymānihim (أَيْمَانِهِمْ)

5:53:10

indeed they

innahum (إِنَّهُمْ)

5:53:11

(were) with you

lamaʿakum (لَمَعَكُمْ)

Became worthless

ḥabiṭat (حَبِطَتْ)

their deeds

aʿmāluhum (أَعْمَالُهُمْ)

and they became

fa-aṣbaḥū (فَأَصْبَحُوا)

(the) losers

khāsirīna (خَاسِرِينَ)

O you

yāayyuhā (يَاأَيُّهَا)

who

alladhīna (الَّذِينَ)

5:54:3

believe

āmanū (ءَامَنُوا)

Whoever

man (مَنْ)

turns back

yartadda (يَرْتَدَّ)

his religion

a people

whom He loves

and they love Him

wayuḥibbūnahu (وَيُحِبُّونَهُ)

humble

adhillatin (أَذِلَّةٍ)

towards

the believers

l-mu'minīna (الْمُؤْمِنِينَ)

(and) stern

aʿizzatin (أَعِزَّةٍ)

towards

the disbelievers

striving

yujāhidūna (يُجَاهِدُونَ)

He wills

(is) All-Encompassing

wāsiʿun (وَاسِعٌ)

All-Knowing

Only

innamā (إِنَّمَا)

waliyyukumu (وَلِيُّكُمُ)

(is) Allah

and His Messenger

and those who

wa-alladhīna (وَالَّذِينَ)

believe

and those who

alladhīna (الَّذِينَ)

establish

yuqīmūna (يُقِيمُونَ)

the prayer

and give

zakah

l-zakata (الزَّكَوةَ)

and they

(are) those who bow down

And whoever

takes as an ally

those who

your religion

(in) ridicule

huzuwan (هُزُوًا)

and fun

l-kitāba (الْكِتَابَ)

qablikum (قَبْلِكُمْ)

and the disbelievers

wal-kufāra (وَالْكُفَّارَ)

(as) allies

awliyāa (أَوْلِيَاءَ)

And fear

wa-ittaqū (وَاتَّقُوا)

5:57:20

Allah

l-laha (اللَّهَ)

5:57:21

if

you are

kuntum (كُنْتُمْ)

believers

mu'minīna (مُؤْمِنِينَ)

And when

wa-idhā (وَإِذَا)

you make a call

nādaytum (نَادَيْتُمْ)

the prayer

they take it

most of you

(are) defiantly disobedient

unabbi-ukum (أُنَبِّئُكُمْ)

(of) worse

bisharrin (بِشَرٍّ)

(as) recompense

[the] apes

and [the] swines

wal-khanāzīra (وَالْخَنَازِيرَ)

and (who) worshipped

the false deities

(are) worse

sharrun (شَرٌّ)

and farthest astray

(the) even

sawāi (سَوَاءِ)

way

l-sabīli (السَّبِيلِ)

And when

wa-idhā (وَإِذَا)

they come to you

jāūkum (جَاءُوكُمْ)

they say

qālū (قَالُوا)

We believe

āmannā (ءَامَنَّا)

But certainly

waqad (وَقَدْ)

they entered

dakhalū (دَخَلُوا)

5:61:7

with disbelief

bil-kuf'ri (بِالْكُفْرِ)

5:61:8

and they

wahum (وَهُمْ)

5:61:9

certainly

qad (قَدْ)

5:61:10

went out

kharajū (خَرَجُوا)

5:61:11

with it

bihi (بِهِ)

5:61:12

And Allah

wal-lahu (وَاللَّهُ)

knows best

aʿlamu (أَعْلَمُ)

[of] what

bimā (بِمَا)

they were

kānū (كَانُوا)

5:61:16

hiding

yaktumūna (يَكْتُمُونَ)

of them

hastening

[the] sin

l-ith'mi (الْإِثْمِ)

and [the] transgression

wal-ʿud'wāni (وَالْعُدْوَانِ)

and eating

wa-aklihimu (وَأَكْلِهِمُ)

5:62:9

the forbidden

l-suḥ'ta (السُّحْتَ)

Surely evil

and the religious scholars

and they have been cursed

And We have cast

wa-alqaynā (وَأَلْقَيْنَا)

among them

baynahumu (بَيْنَهُمُ)

[the] enmity

l-ʿadāwata (الْعَدَاوَةَ)

5:64:30

and [the] hatred

wal-baghḍāa (وَالْبَغْضَاءَ)

till

(the) Day

yawmi (يَوْمِ)

(of) the Resurrection

l-qiyāmati (الْقِيَامَةِ)

Every time

of [the] war

extinguished it

Allah

And they strive

the earth

spreading corruption

fasādan (فَسَادًا)

And Allah

love

yuḥibbu (يُحِبُّ)

the corrupters

l-muf'sidīna (الْمُفْسِدِينَ)

And if

walaw (وَلَوْ)

that

anna (أَنَّ)

5:65:3

(the) People

ahla (أَهْلَ)

5:65:4

(of) the Book

l-kitābi (الْكِتَابِ)

5:65:5

(had) believed

āmanū (ءَامَنُوا)

5:65:6

and feared (Allah)

wa-ittaqaw (وَاتَّقَوْا)

5:65:7

surely We (would have) removed

lakaffarnā (لَكَفَّرْنَا)

5:65:8

from them

ʿanhum (عَنْهُمْ)

5:65:9

their evil (deeds)

sayyiātihim (سَيِّئَاتِهِمْ)

5:65:10

and surely We (would have) admitted them

wala-adkhalnāhum (وَلَأَدْخَلْنَاهُمْ)

5:65:11

(to) Gardens

jannāti (جَنَّاتِ)

5:65:12

(of) Bliss

l-naʿīmi (النَّعِيمِ)

5:66:1

And if

walaw (وَلَوْ)

5:66:2

that they

annahum (أَنَّهُمْ)

5:66:3

had stood firmly

aqāmū (أَقَامُوا)

5:66:4

(by) the Taurat

l-tawrāta (التَّوْرَاةَ)

5:66:5

and the Injeel

wal-injīla (وَالْإِنْجِيلَ)

5:66:6

and what

wamā (وَمَا)

5:66:7

was revealed

unzila (أُنْزِلَ)

5:66:8

to them

ilayhim (إِلَيْهِمْ)

from

min (مِنْ)

5:66:10

their Lord

rabbihim (رَبِّهِمْ)

5:66:11

surely they (would have) eaten

la-akalū (لَأَكَلُوا)

5:66:12

from

min (مِنْ)

above them

fawqihim (فَوْقِهِمْ)

and from

wamin (وَمِنْ)

beneath

taḥti (تَحْتِ)

their feet

Among them

ummatun (أُمَّةٌ)

moderate

muq'taṣidatun (مُقْتَصِدَةٌ)

the Last

and did

good deeds

ṣāliḥan (صَالِحًا)

then no

falā (فَلَا)

fear

khawfun (خَوْفٌ)

on them

ʿalayhim (عَلَيْهِمْ)

and not

walā (وَلَا)

5:69:19

they

hum (هُمْ)

will grieve

yaḥzanūna (يَحْزَنُونَ)

a Covenant

(from the) Children

banī (بَنِي)

(of) Israel

is'rāīla (إِسْرَاءِيلَ)

5:70:6

and We sent

wa-arsalnā (وَأَرْسَلْنَا)

5:70:7

to them

ilayhim (إِلَيْهِمْ)

5:70:8

Messengers

rusulan (رُسُلًا)

5:70:9

Whenever

kullamā (كُلَّمَا)

5:70:10

came to them

jāahum (جَاءَهُمْ)

5:70:11

any Messenger

rasūlun (رَسُولٌ)

5:70:12

with what

bimā (بِمَا)

5:70:13

not

lā (لَا)

5:70:14

desired

tahwā (تَهْوَى)

5:70:15

their souls

anfusuhum (أَنْفُسُهُمْ)

5:70:16

a group

farīqan (فَرِيقًا)

they denied

kadhabū (كَذَّبُوا)

5:70:18

and a group

wafarīqan (وَفَرِيقًا)

they kill

And they thought

waḥasibū (وَحَسِبُوا)

they became blind

and they became deaf

many

And Allah

(is) All-Seer

Allah

Paradise

l-janata (الْجَنَّةَ)

and his abode

wamawāhu (وَمَأْوَاهُ)

(will be) the Fire

l-nāru (النَّارُ)

And not

wamā (وَمَا)

5:72:31

for the wrongdoers

lilẓẓālimīna (لِلظَّالِمِينَ)

helpers

anṣārin (أَنْصَارٍ)

Certainly

(the) God

(the) One

wāḥidun (وَاحِدٌ)

not

lam (لَمْ)

they desist

yantahū (يَنْتَهُوا)

from what

ʿammā (عَمَّا)

they are saying

surely will afflict

layamassanna (لَيَمَسَّنَّ)

a punishment

painful

they turn in repentance

Allah

and seek His forgiveness

And Allah

(is) Oft-Forgiving

ghafūrun (غَفُورٌ)

Most Merciful

raḥīmun (رَحِيمٌ)

Not

(is) the Messiah

l-masīḥu (الْمَسِيحُ)

(of) Maryam

maryama (مَرْيَمَ)

a Messenger

certainly

the Messengers

(vain) desires

certainly

who went astray

and they misled

many

and they have strayed

disbelieved

Surely evil

sent forth

their souls

became angry

Allah

the punishment

they

(will) abide forever

khālidūna (خَالِدُونَ)

in Allah

and the Prophet

has been revealed

unzila (أُنْزِلَ)

to him

ilayhi (إِلَيْهِ)

not

mā (مَا)

5:81:10

they (would have) taken them

ittakhadhūhum (اتَّخَذُوهُمْ)

5:81:11

(as) allies

awliyāa (أَوْلِيَاءَ)

5:81:12

[and] but

walākinna (وَلَكِنَّ)

5:81:13

many

kathīran (كَثِيرًا)

5:81:14

of them

min'hum (مِنْهُمْ)

5:81:15

(are) defiantly disobedient

fāsiqūna (فَاسِقُونَ)

5:82:1

Surely you will find

latajidanna (لَتَجِدَنَّ)

5:82:2

strongest

ashadda (أَشَدَّ)

(of) the people

l-nāsi (النَّاسِ)

5:82:4

(in) enmity

ʿadāwatan (عَدَاوَةً)

5:82:5

to those who

lilladhīna (لِلَّذِينَ)

5:82:6

believe

āmanū (ءَامَنُوا)

5:82:7

the Jews

l-yahūda (الْيَهُودَ)

5:82:8

and those who

wa-alladhīna (وَالَّذِينَ)

5:82:9

(are) polytheists

ashrakū (أَشْرَكُوا)

and surely you will find

walatajidanna (وَلَتَجِدَنَّ)

5:82:11

nearest of them

aqrabahum (أَقْرَبَهُمْ)

5:82:12

(in) affection

mawaddatan (مَوَدَّةً)

to those who

lilladhīna (لِلَّذِينَ)

5:82:14

believe

āmanū (ءَامَنُوا)

5:82:15

those who

alladhīna (الَّذِينَ)

5:82:16

say

qālū (قَالُوا)

We

innā (إِنَّا)

5:82:18

(are) Christians

naṣārā (نَصَارَى)

5:82:19

That (is)

dhālika (ذَلِكَ)

5:82:20

because

bi-anna (بِأَنَّ)

5:82:21

among them

min'hum (مِنْهُمْ)

5:82:22

(are) priests

qissīsīna (قِسِّيسِينَ)

and monks

waruh'bānan (وَرُهْبَانًا)

and that they

wa-annahum (وَأَنَّهُمْ)

(are) not

lā (لَا)

arrogant

yastakbirūna (يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ)

wa-idhā (وَإِذَا)

they listen

samiʿū (سَمِعُوا)

(to) what

has been revealed

the Messenger

their eyes

overflowing

the tears

Our Lord

the witnesses

l-shāhidīna (الشَّاهِدِينَ)

And what

wamā (وَمَا)

for us (that)

lanā (لَنَا)

5:84:3

not

lā (لَا)

we believe

nu'minu (نُؤْمِنُ)

5:84:5

in Allah

bil-lahi (بِاللَّهِ)

and what

wamā (وَمَا)

5:84:7

came (to) us

jāanā (جَاءَنَا)

5:84:8

from

mina (مِنَ)

5:84:9

the truth

l-ḥaqi (الْحَقِّ)

And we hope

wanaṭmaʿu (وَنَطْمَعُ)

that

will admit us

yud'khilanā (يُدْخِلَنَا)

our Lord

rabbunā (رَبُّنَا)

with

the people

the righteous

l-ṣāliḥīna (الصَّالِحِينَ)

So rewarded them

fa-athābahumu (فَأَثَابَهُمُ)

the rivers

l-anhāru (الْأَنْهَارُ)

will abide forever

in it

And that

wadhālika (وَذَلِكَ)

(is the) reward

(of) the good-doers

And those who

wa-alladhīna (وَالَّذِينَ)

disbelieved

and denied

Our Signs

(are the) companions

(the) good things

for the thoughtless utterances

and (sacrifices at) altars

and divining arrows

wal-azlāmu (وَالْأَزْلَامُ)

(are an) abomination

the prayer

So will

you (be)

the ones who abstain

muntahūna (مُنْتَهُونَ)

And obey

wa-aṭīʿū (وَأَطِيعُوا)

5:92:2

Allah

and obey

wa-aṭīʿū (وَأَطِيعُوا)

the Messenger

and beware

wa-iḥ'dharū (وَاحْذَرُوا)

you turn away

tawallaytum (تَوَلَّيْتُمْ)

then know

and the Injeel

wal-injīla (وَالْإِنْجِيلَ)

and when

[I] will punish him

uʿadhibuhu (أُعَذِّبُهُ)

(with) a punishment
