beside Him

dūnihi (دُونِهِ)

any allies

awliyāa (أَوْلِيَاءَ)

7:3:12

Little

qalīlan (قَلِيلًا)

(is) what

mā (مَا)

you remember

tadhakkarūna (تَذَكَّرُونَ)

7:4:1

And how many

wakam (وَكَمْ)

of

min (مِنْ)

a city

qaryatin (قَرْيَةٍ)

7:4:4

We destroyed it

ahlaknāhā (أَهْلَكْنَاهَا)

and came to it

fajāahā (فَجَاءَهَا)

Our punishment

basunā (بَأْسُنَا)

7:4:7

(at) night

bayātan (بَيَاتًا)

(while) they

were sleeping at noon

their plea

came to them

Our punishment

illā (إِلَّا)

they said

Indeed we

innā (إِنَّا)

were

kunnā (كُنَّا)

7:5:12

wrongdoers

ẓālimīna (ظَالِمِينَ)

7:6:1

Then surely We will question

falanasalanna (فَلَنَسْءَلَنَّ)

7:6:2

those (to) whom

alladhīna (الَّذِينَ)

7:6:3

were sent

ur'sila (أُرْسِلَ)

7:6:4

to them (Messengers)

ilayhim (إِلَيْهِمْ)

7:6:5

and surely We will question

walanasalanna (وَلَنَسْءَلَنَّ)

7:6:6

the Messengers

l-mur'salīna (الْمُرْسَلِينَ)

7:7:1

Then surely We will narrate

falanaquṣṣanna (فَلَنَقُصَّنَّ)

7:7:2

to them

ʿalayhim (عَلَيْهِمْ)

7:7:3

with knowledge

biʿil'min (بِعِلْمٍ)

7:7:4

and not

wamā (وَمَا)

7:7:5

were We

kunnā (كُنَّا)

7:7:6

absent

ghāibīna (غَائِبِينَ)

7:8:1

And the weighing

wal-waznu (وَالْوَزْنُ)

7:8:2

that day

yawma-idhin (يَوْمَئِذٍ)

7:8:3

(will be) the truth

l-ḥaqu (الْحَقُّ)

7:8:4

So whose

faman (فَمَنْ)

7:8:5

(will be) heavy

thaqulat (ثَقُلَتْ)

7:8:6

his scales

mawāzīnuhu (مَوَازِينُهُ)

7:8:7

then those

fa-ulāika (فَأُولَئِكَ)

7:8:8

[they]

humu (هُمُ)

7:8:9

(will be) the successful ones

l-muf'liḥūna (الْمُفْلِحُونَ)

And (for) those

waman (وَمَنْ)

7:9:2

(will be) light

khaffat (خَفَّتْ)

his scales

mawāzīnuhu (مَوَازِينُهُ)

so those

fa-ulāika (فَأُولَئِكَ)

7:9:5

(will be) the ones who

alladhīna (الَّذِينَ)

7:9:6

lost

khasirū (خَسِرُوا)

7:9:7

themselves

anfusahum (أَنْفُسَهُمْ)

7:9:8

because

bimā (بِمَا)

7:9:9

they were

kānū (كَانُوا)

7:9:10

to Our Verses

biāyātinā (بِءَايَاتِنَا)

7:9:11

(doing) injustice

yaẓlimūna (يَظْلِمُونَ)

7:10:1

And certainly

walaqad (وَلَقَدْ)

7:10:2

We established you

makkannākum (مَكَّنَّاكُمْ)

in

fī (فِي)

7:10:4

the earth

l-arḍi (الْأَرْضِ)

7:10:5

and We made

wajaʿalnā (وَجَعَلْنَا)

7:10:6

for you

lakum (لَكُمْ)

7:10:7

in it

fīhā (فِيهَا)

7:10:8

livelihood

maʿāyisha (مَعَايِشَ)

7:10:9

Little

qalīlan (قَلِيلًا)

7:10:10

(is) what

mā (مَا)

7:10:11

you (are) grateful

tashkurūna (تَشْكُرُونَ)

7:11:1

And certainly

walaqad (وَلَقَدْ)

7:11:2

We created you

khalaqnākum (خَلَقْنَاكُمْ)

7:11:3

then

thumma (ثُمَّ)

7:11:4

We fashioned you

ṣawwarnākum (صَوَّرْنَاكُمْ)

Then

thumma (ثُمَّ)

7:11:6

We said

qul'nā (قُلْنَا)

to the Angels

lil'malāikati (لِلْمَلَائِكَةِ)

Prostrate

us'judū (اسْجُدُوا)

to Adam

liādama (لِءَادَمَ)

7:11:10

So they prostrated

fasajadū (فَسَجَدُوا)

7:11:11

except

illā (إِلَّا)

Iblees

I commanded you

(Shaitaan) said

I am

better

khayrun (خَيْرٌ)

than him

min'hu (مِنْهُ)

7:12:12

You created me

khalaqtanī (خَلَقْتَنِي)

7:12:13

from

min (مِنْ)

fire

nārin (نَارٍ)

7:12:15

and You created him

wakhalaqtahu (وَخَلَقْتَهُ)

7:12:16

from

min (مِنْ)

7:12:17

clay

ṭīnin (طِينٍ)

(Allah) said

Then go down

fa-ih'biṭ (فَاهْبِطْ)

it is

yakūnu (يَكُونُ)

for you

laka (لَكَ)

you be arrogant

tatakabbara (تَتَكَبَّرَ)

in it

fīhā (فِيهَا)

So get out

fa-ukh'ruj (فَاخْرُجْ)

indeed you

innaka (إِنَّكَ)

(are) of

mina (مِنَ)

7:13:13

the disgraced ones

l-ṣāghirīna (الصَّاغِرِينَ)

(Shaitaan) said

Give me respite

anẓir'nī (أَنْظِرْنِي)

they are raised up

yub'ʿathūna (يُبْعَثُونَ)

(Allah) said

Indeed you

innaka (إِنَّكَ)

mina (مِنَ)

the ones given respite

l-munẓarīna (الْمُنْظَرِينَ)

(Shaitaan) said

qāla (قَالَ)

Because

fabimā (فَبِمَا)

7:16:3

You have sent me astray

aghwaytanī (أَغْوَيْتَنِي)

7:16:4

surely I will sit

la-aqʿudanna (لَأَقْعُدَنَّ)

for them

lahum (لَهُمْ)

(on) your path

ṣirāṭaka (صِرَاطَكَ)

straight

l-mus'taqīma (الْمُسْتَقِيمَ)

surely I will come to them

laātiyannahum (لَءَاتِيَنَّهُمْ)

between

bayni (بَيْنِ)

7:17:5

(their) hands

aydīhim (أَيْدِيهِمْ)

7:17:6

and from

wamin (وَمِنْ)

7:17:7

behind them

khalfihim (خَلْفِهِمْ)

7:17:8

and from

waʿan (وَعَنْ)

7:17:9

their right

aymānihim (أَيْمَانِهِمْ)

and from

waʿan (وَعَنْ)

their left

shamāilihim (شَمَائِلِهِمْ)

and not

walā (وَلَا)

you will find

tajidu (تَجِدُ)

most of them

aktharahum (أَكْثَرَهُمْ)

grateful

shākirīna (شَاكِرِينَ)

7:18:1

(Allah) said

qāla (قَالَ)

7:18:2

Get out

ukh'ruj (اخْرُجْ)

7:18:3

of it

min'hā (مِنْهَا)

7:18:4

disgraced

madhūman (مَذْءُومًا)

ذ ا م (root)

7:18:5

and expelled

madḥūran (مَدْحُورًا)

7:18:6

Certainly whoever

laman (لَمَنْ)

7:18:7

follows you

tabiʿaka (تَبِعَكَ)

7:18:8

among them

min'hum (مِنْهُمْ)

7:18:9

surely I will fill

la-amla-anna (لَأَمْلَأَنَّ)

7:18:10

Hell

jahannama (جَهَنَّمَ)

with you

minkum (مِنْكُمْ)

7:18:12

all

ajmaʿīna (أَجْمَعِينَ)

7:19:1

And O Adam

wayāādamu (وَيَاءَادَمُ)

7:19:2

Dwell

and your wife

wazawjuka (وَزَوْجُكَ)

(in) the Garden

l-janata (الْجَنَّةَ)

and you both eat

wherever

ḥaythu (حَيْثُ)

you both wish

shi'tumā (شِئْتُمَا)

7:19:10

but (do) not

walā (وَلَا)

7:19:11

approach [both of you]

taqrabā (تَقْرَبَا)

7:19:12

this

hādhihi (هَذِهِ)

7:19:13

[the] tree

l-shajarata (الشَّجَرَةَ)

7:19:14

lest you both be

fatakūnā (فَتَكُونَا)

7:19:15

among

mina (مِنَ)

7:19:16

the wrongdoers

l-ẓālimīna (الظَّالِمِينَ)

7:20:1

Then whispered

fawaswasa (فَوَسْوَسَ)

to both of them

lahumā (لَهُمَا)

7:20:3

the Shaitaan

l-shayṭānu (الشَّيْطَانُ)

7:20:4

to make apparent

liyub'diya (لِيُبْدِيَ)

to both of them

lahumā (لَهُمَا)

what

mā (مَا)

was concealed

wūriya (وُورِيَ)

from both of them

their shame

And he said

(Did) not

forbid you both

nahākumā (نَهَاكُمَا)

your Lord

rabbukumā (رَبُّكُمَا)

7:20:15

from

ʿan (عَنْ)

7:20:16

this

hādhihi (هَذِهِ)

7:20:17

[the] tree

l-shajarati (الشَّجَرَةِ)

7:20:18

except

illā (إِلَّا)

7:20:19

that

an (أَنْ)

7:20:20

you two become

takūnā (تَكُونَا)

7:20:21

Angels

malakayni (مَلَكَيْنِ)

7:20:22

or

aw (أَوْ)

7:20:23

you two become

takūnā (تَكُونَا)

7:20:24

of

mina (مِنَ)

7:20:25

the immortals

l-khālidīna (الْخَالِدِينَ)

7:21:1

And he swore (to) both of them

waqāsamahumā (وَقَاسَمَهُمَا)

Indeed I am

innī (إِنِّي)

7:21:3

to both of you

lakumā (لَكُمَا)

7:21:4

among

lamina (لَمِنَ)

7:21:5

the sincere advisors

l-nāṣiḥīna (النَّاصِحِينَ)

So he made both of them fall

fadallāhumā (فَدَلَّاهُمَا)

by deception

bighurūrin (بِغُرُورٍ)

Then when

falammā (فَلَمَّا)

they both tasted

dhāqā (ذَاقَا)

the tree

l-shajarata (الشَّجَرَةَ)

became apparent

badat (بَدَتْ)

to both of them

lahumā (لَهُمَا)

their shame

sawātuhumā (سَوْءَاتُهُمَا)

7:22:9

and they began

waṭafiqā (وَطَفِقَا)

(to) fasten

yakhṣifāni (يَخْصِفَانِ)

خ ص ف (root)

7:22:11

over themselves

ʿalayhimā (عَلَيْهِمَا)

7:22:12

from

min (مِنْ)

(the) leaves

waraqi (وَرَقِ)

(of) the Garden

l-janati (الْجَنَّةِ)

7:22:15

And called them both

wanādāhumā (وَنَادَاهُمَا)

their Lord

rabbuhumā (رَبُّهُمَا)

Did not

alam (أَلَمْ)

7:22:18

I forbid you both

anhakumā (أَنْهَكُمَا)

7:22:19

from

ʿan (عَنْ)

this

til'kumā (تِلْكُمَا)

[the] tree

l-shajarati (الشَّجَرَةِ)

and [I] say

wa-aqul (وَأَقُلْ)

7:22:23

to both of you

lakumā (لَكُمَا)

that

inna (إِنَّ)

[the] Shaitaan

l-shayṭāna (الشَّيْطَانَ)

7:22:26

(is) to both of you

lakumā (لَكُمَا)

7:22:27

an enemy

ʿaduwwun (عَدُوٌّ)

7:22:28

open

mubīnun (مُبِينٌ)

7:23:1

Both of them said

qālā (قَالَا)

7:23:2

Our Lord

rabbanā (رَبَّنَا)

7:23:3

we have wronged

ẓalamnā (ظَلَمْنَا)

7:23:4

ourselves

anfusanā (أَنْفُسَنَا)

7:23:5

and if

wa-in (وَإِنْ)

7:23:6

not

lam (لَمْ)

7:23:7

You forgive

taghfir (تَغْفِرْ)

7:23:8

[for] us

lanā (لَنَا)

7:23:9

and have mercy (on) us

watarḥamnā (وَتَرْحَمْنَا)

7:23:10

surely we will be

lanakūnanna (لَنَكُونَنَّ)

7:23:11

among

mina (مِنَ)

7:23:12

the losers

l-khāsirīna (الْخَاسِرِينَ)

7:24:1

(Allah) said

qāla (قَالَ)

Get down

ih'biṭū (اهْبِطُوا)

some of you

baʿḍukum (بَعْضُكُمْ)

to some others

libaʿḍin (لِبَعْضٍ)

(as) enemy

ʿaduwwun (عَدُوٌّ)

And for you

walakum (وَلَكُمْ)

in

fī (فِي)

7:24:8

the earth

l-arḍi (الْأَرْضِ)

(is) a dwelling place

mus'taqarrun (مُسْتَقَرٌّ)

and livelihood

wamatāʿun (وَمَتَاعٌ)

7:24:11

for

ilā (إِلَى)

7:24:12

a time

ḥīnin (حِينٍ)

He said

In it

fīhā (فِيهَا)

you will live

taḥyawna (تَحْيَوْنَ)

7:25:4

and in it

wafīhā (وَفِيهَا)

you will die

tamūtūna (تَمُوتُونَ)

7:25:6

and from it

wamin'hā (وَمِنْهَا)

7:25:7

you will be brought forth

tukh'rajūna (تُخْرَجُونَ)

7:26:1

O Children

yābanī (يَابَنِي)

7:26:2

(of) Adam

ādama (ءَادَمَ)

7:26:3

Verily

qad (قَدْ)

7:26:4

We have sent down

anzalnā (أَنْزَلْنَا)

7:26:5

to you

ʿalaykum (عَلَيْكُمْ)

7:26:6

clothing

libāsan (لِبَاسًا)

7:26:7

it covers

yuwārī (يُوَارِي)

و ر ى (root)

7:26:8

your shame

sawātikum (سَوْءَاتِكُمْ)

7:26:9

and (as) an adornment

warīshan (وَرِيشًا)

ر ى ش (root)

7:26:10

But the clothing

walibāsu (وَلِبَاسُ)

ل ب س (root)

7:26:11

(of) [the] righteousness

l-taqwā (التَّقْوَى)

7:26:12

that

dhālika (ذَلِكَ)

7:26:13

(is) best

khayrun (خَيْرٌ)

7:26:14

That

dhālika (ذَلِكَ)

7:26:15

(is) from

min (مِنْ)

7:26:16

(the) Signs

āyāti (ءَايَاتِ)

7:26:17

(of) Allah

l-lahi (اللَّهِ)

7:26:18

so that they may

laʿallahum (لَعَلَّهُمْ)

remember

yadhakkarūna (يَذَّكَّرُونَ)

O Children

yābanī (يَابَنِي)

7:27:2

(of) Adam

ādama (ءَادَمَ)

(Let) not

lā (لَا)

tempt you

yaftinannakumu (يَفْتِنَنَّكُمُ)

[the] Shaitaan

he drove out

akhraja (أَخْرَجَ)

your parents

from

mina (مِنَ)

Paradise

l-janati (الْجَنَّةِ)

stripping

yanziʿu (يَنْزِعُ)

from both of them

their clothing

libāsahumā (لِبَاسَهُمَا)

and his tribe

waqabīluhu (وَقَبِيلُهُ)

where

Indeed

innā (إِنَّا)

We have made

jaʿalnā (جَعَلْنَا)

the devils

l-shayāṭīna (الشَّيَاطِينَ)

friends

awliyāa (أَوْلِيَاءَ)

7:27:28

of those who

lilladhīna (لِلَّذِينَ)

7:27:29

(do) not

lā (لَا)

7:27:30

believe

yu'minūna (يُؤْمِنُونَ)

And when

wa-idhā (وَإِذَا)

7:28:2

they do

faʿalū (فَعَلُوا)

immorality

fāḥishatan (فَاحِشَةً)

they say

We found

wajadnā (وَجَدْنَا)

on it

our forefathers

ābāanā (ءَابَاءَنَا)

and Allah

wal-lahu (وَاللَّهُ)

7:28:9

(has) ordered us

amaranā (أَمَرَنَا)

7:28:10

of it

bihā (بِهَا)

7:28:11

Say

qul (قُلْ)

Indeed

inna (إِنَّ)

Allah

your faces

Allah

sustenance

the punishment

We recompense

the wrongdoers

[the] righteous deeds

we were

kunnā (كُنَّا)

to receive guidance

linahtadiya (لِنَهْتَدِيَ)

if not

lawlā (لَوْلَا)

[that]

(had) guided us

Allah

Certainly

you have been made to inherit it

true

you found

wajadttum (وَجَدْتُمْ)

what

promised

your Lord

rabbukum (رَبُّكُمْ)

(to be) true

ḥaqqan (حَقًّا)

They will say

Yes

Then will announce

an announcer

among them

(The) curse

the wrongdoers

concerning the Hereafter

disbelievers

(will be) a partition

the heights

by their marks

And they will call out

(to the) companions

(of) Paradise

that

Peace

salāmun (سَلَامٌ)

(be) upon you

Not

lam (لَمْ)

they have entered it

yadkhulūhā (يَدْخُلُوهَا)

but they

the wrongdoers

(of) the heights

whom they recognize

by their marks

the ones whom

alladhīna (الَّذِينَ)

you had sworn

that (will) grant them

the disbelievers

Those who

alladhīna (الَّذِينَ)

took

ittakhadhū (اتَّخَذُوا)

their religion

(as) an amusement

and play

and deluded them

the life

(of) the world

fal-yawma (فَالْيَوْمَ)

We forget them

nansāhum (نَنْسَاهُمْ)

as

kamā (كَمَا)

they forgot

nasū (نَسُوا)

(the) meeting

liqāa (لِقَاءَ)

(of) their Day

yawmihim (يَوْمِهِمْ)

and [what]

wamā (وَمَا)

(as) they used to

ʿalā (عَلَى)

knowledge

ʿil'min (عِلْمٍ)

a guidance

hudan (هُدًى)

and mercy

waraḥmatan (وَرَحْمَةً)

7:52:9

for a people

liqawmin (لِقَوْمٍ)

7:52:10

who believe

yu'minūna (يُؤْمِنُونَ)

7:53:1

Do

they wait

yanẓurūna (يَنْظُرُونَ)

except

illā (إِلَّا)

(for) its fulfillment

the earth

its reformation

And call Him

(in) fear

khawfan (خَوْفًا)

and hope

waṭamaʿan (وَطَمَعًا)

the winds

(as) glad tidings

take heed

And the land

its vegetation

that he may warn you

and that you may fear

walitattaqū (وَلِتَتَّقُوا)

and so that you may

walaʿallakum (وَلَعَلَّكُمْ)

receive mercy

tur'ḥamūna (تُرْحَمُونَ)

But they denied him

fakadhabūhu (فَكَذَّبُوهُ)

so We saved him

fa-anjaynāhu (فَأَنْجَيْنَاهُ)

and those who

wa-alladhīna (وَالَّذِينَ)

7:64:4

(were) with him

maʿahu (مَعَهُ)

7:64:5

in

the ship

l-ful'ki (الْفُلْكِ)

And We drowned

wa-aghraqnā (وَأَغْرَقْنَا)

those who

Have you come to us

Alone

and we forsake

fa-intaẓirū (فَانْتَظِرُوا)

l-muntaẓirīna (الْمُنْتَظِرِينَ)

So We saved him

fa-anjaynāhu (فَأَنْجَيْنَاهُ)

and those

wa-alladhīna (وَالَّذِينَ)

7:72:3

with him

maʿahu (مَعَهُ)

7:72:4

by Mercy

biraḥmatin (بِرَحْمَةٍ)

7:72:5

from Us

minnā (مِنَّا)

7:72:6

And We cut off

waqaṭaʿnā (وَقَطَعْنَا)

7:72:7

the roots

dābira (دَابِرَ)

(of) those who

alladhīna (الَّذِينَ)

denied

kadhabū (كَذَّبُوا)

Our Signs

biāyātinā (بِءَايَاتِنَا)

kānū (كَانُوا)

believers

mu'minīna (مُؤْمِنِينَ)

Thamud

Salih

a clear proof

bayyinatun (بَيِّنَةٌ)

your Lord

rabbikum (رَبِّكُمْ)

This

(is) a she-camel

nāqatu (نَاقَةُ)

for you

(as) a Sign

āyatan (ءَايَةً)

So you leave her

fadharūhā (فَذَرُوهَا)

(to) eat

takul (تَأْكُلْ)

a punishment

(are) disbelievers

Then they hamstrung

faʿaqarū (فَعَقَرُوا)

and (were) insolent

Bring us

i'tinā (ائْتِنَا)

what

bimā (بِمَا)

you promise us

taʿidunā (تَعِدُنَا)

you are

the Messengers

l-mur'salīna (الْمُرْسَلِينَ)

So seized them

fa-akhadhathumu (فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ)

the earthquake

l-rajfatu (الرَّجْفَةُ)

then they became

fa-aṣbaḥū (فَأَصْبَحُوا)

Verily

laqad (لَقَدْ)

I have conveyed to you

ablaghtukum (أَبْلَغْتُكُمْ)

7:79:7

(the) Message

risālata (رِسَالَةَ)

7:79:8

(of) my Lord

rabbī (رَبِّي)

7:79:9

and [I] advised

wanaṣaḥtu (وَنَصَحْتُ)

7:79:10

[to] you

lakum (لَكُمْ)

7:79:11

but

walākin (وَلَكِنْ)

7:79:12

not

lā (لَا)

7:79:13

you like

tuḥibbūna (تُحِبُّونَ)

the advisers

And Lut

(who) commit excesses

(the) answer

(of) his people

Drive them out

akhrijūhum (أَخْرِجُوهُمْ)

your town

qaryatikum (قَرْيَتِكُمْ)

Indeed they

innahum (إِنَّهُمْ)

(are) people

unāsun (أُنَاسٌ)

who keep themselves pure

yataṭahharūna (يَتَطَهَّرُونَ)

So We saved him

and his family

wa-ahlahu (وَأَهْلَهُ)

in their things

ashyāahum (أَشْيَاءَهُمْ)

and (do) not

cause corruption

the earth

its reformation

(of) Allah

(those) who

and seeking (to make) it

watabghūnahā (وَتَبْغُونَهَا)

crooked

ʿiwajan (عِوَجًا)

And remember

wa-udh'kurū (وَاذْكُرُوا)

qalīlan (قَلِيلًا)

and He increased you

fakatharakum (فَكَثَّرَكُمْ)

And see

wa-unẓurū (وَانْظُرُوا)

how

kayfa (كَيْفَ)

7:86:22

was

kāna (كَانَ)

7:86:23

(the) end

ʿāqibatu (عَاقِبَةُ)

(of) the corrupters

l-muf'sidīna (الْمُفْسِدِينَ)

7:87:1

And if

wa-in (وَإِنْ)

7:87:2

(there) is

kāna (كَانَ)

7:87:3

a group

ṭāifatun (طَائِفَةٌ)

7:87:4

among you

minkum (مِنْكُمْ)

7:87:5

(who has) believed

āmanū (ءَامَنُوا)

in that which

bi-alladhī (بِالَّذِي)

7:87:7

I have been sent

ur'sil'tu (أُرْسِلْتُ)

7:87:8

with [it]

bihi (بِهِ)

7:87:9

and a group

waṭāifatun (وَطَائِفَةٌ)

7:87:10

not

lam (لَمْ)

7:87:11

they believe

yu'minū (يُؤْمِنُوا)

7:87:12

then be patient

fa-iṣ'birū (فَاصْبِرُوا)

7:87:13

until

ḥattā (حَتَّى)

7:87:14

judges

yaḥkuma (يَحْكُمَ)

Allah

wa-alladhīna (وَالَّذِينَ)

(have) believed

āmanū (ءَامَنُوا)

with you

maʿaka (مَعَكَ)

7:88:12

from

min (مِنْ)

7:88:13

our city

qaryatinā (قَرْيَتِنَا)

7:88:14

or

aw (أَوْ)

7:88:15

you must return

lataʿūdunna (لَتَعُودُنَّ)

7:88:16

to

our religion

millatinā (مِلَّتِنَا)

O my people

Verily

laqad (لَقَدْ)

I (have) conveyed to you

ablaghtukum (أَبْلَغْتُكُمْ)

(the) Messages

risālāti (رِسَالَاتِ)

7:93:8

(of) my Lord

rabbī (رَبِّي)

7:93:9

and advised

wanaṣaḥtu (وَنَصَحْتُ)

7:93:10

[to] you

lakum (لَكُمْ)

7:93:11

So how could

fakayfa (فَكَيْفَ)

7:93:12

I grieve

āsā (ءَاسَى)

for

ʿalā (عَلَى)

a people

qawmin (قَوْمٍ)

(who are) disbelievers

arsalnā (أَرْسَلْنَا)

a city

qaryatin (قَرْيَةٍ)

Prophet

We seized

akhadhnā (أَخَذْنَا)

its people

ahlahā (أَهْلَهَا)

with adversity

bil-basāi (بِالْبَأْسَاءِ)

and hardship

wal-ḍarāi (وَالضَّرَّاءِ)

so that they may

laʿallahum (لَعَلَّهُمْ)

(become) humble

yaḍḍarraʿūna (يَضَّرَّعُونَ)

Verily

qad (قَدْ)

(had) touched

our forefathers

the adversity

and the ease

wal-sarāu (وَالسَّرَّاءُ)

So We seized them

suddenly

surely We (would have) opened

upon them

blessings

barakātin (بَرَكَاتٍ)

the heaven

and the earth

with clear proofs

bil-bayināti (بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ)

7:101:11

but not

famā (فَمَا)

7:101:12

they were

kānū (كَانُوا)

7:101:13

to believe

liyu'minū (لِيُؤْمِنُوا)

7:101:14

in what

bimā (بِمَا)

7:101:15

they (had) denied

kadhabū (كَذَّبُوا)

7:101:16

certainly defiantly disobedient

We sent

But they were unjust

fa-unẓur (فَانْظُرْ)

how

kayfa (كَيْفَ)

drive you out

They (will) bring to you

learned

ʿalīmin (عَلِيمٍ)

So came

wajāa (وَجَاءَ)

the magicians

l-saḥaratu (السَّحَرَةُ)

(to) Firaun

fir'ʿawna (فِرْعَوْنَ)

They said

qālū (قَالُوا)

Indeed

inna (إِنَّ)

for us

lanā (لَنَا)

surely (will be) a reward

la-ajran (لَأَجْرًا)

we are

we will be

(is) surely a plot

lamakrun (لَمَكْرٌ)

you have plotted it

makartumūhu (مَكَرْتُمُوهُ)

in

fī (فِي)

the city

l-madīnati (الْمَدِينَةِ)

so that you may drive out

litukh'rijū (لِتُخْرِجُوا)

from it

min'hā (مِنْهَا)

its people

ahlahā (أَهْلَهَا)

But soon

fasawfa (فَسَوْفَ)

you will know

taʿlamūna (تَعْلَمُونَ)

I will surely cut off

la-uqaṭṭiʿanna (لَأُقَطِّعَنَّ)

your hands

aydiyakum (أَيْدِيَكُمْ)

7:124:3

and your feet

wa-arjulakum (وَأَرْجُلَكُمْ)

7:124:4

of

min (مِنْ)

7:124:5

opposite (sides)

khilāfin (خِلَافٍ)

7:124:6

Then

thumma (ثُمَّ)

7:124:7

I will surely crucify you

la-uṣallibannakum (لَأُصَلِّبَنَّكُمْ)

ajmaʿīna (أَجْمَعِينَ)

They said

Indeed we

innā (إِنَّا)

ilā (إِلَى)

our Lord

(will) return

munqalibūna (مُنْقَلِبُونَ)

7:126:1

And not

wamā (وَمَا)

7:126:2

you take revenge

tanqimu (تَنْقِمُ)

from us

minnā (مِنَّا)

7:126:4

except

illā (إِلَّا)

7:126:5

that

an (أَنْ)

7:126:6

we believed

āmannā (ءَامَنَّا)

in (the) Signs

biāyāti (بِءَايَاتِ)

7:126:8

(of) our Lord

rabbinā (رَبِّنَا)

7:126:9

when

lammā (لَمَّا)

7:126:10

they came to us

jāatnā (جَاءَتْنَا)

7:126:11

Our Lord

rabbanā (رَبَّنَا)

7:126:12

Pour

afrigh (أَفْرِغْ)

upon us

ʿalaynā (عَلَيْنَا)

7:126:14

patience

ṣabran (صَبْرًا)

7:126:15

and cause us to die

watawaffanā (وَتَوَفَّنَا)

(as) Muslims

mus'limīna (مُسْلِمِينَ)

the chiefs

l-mala-u (الْمَلَأُ)

(the) people

qawmi (قَوْمِ)

(of) Firaun

fir'ʿawna (فِرْعَوْنَ)

7:127:6

Will you leave

atadharu (أَتَذَرُ)

7:127:7

Musa

mūsā (مُوسَى)

7:127:8

and his people

waqawmahu (وَقَوْمَهُ)

7:127:9

so that they cause corruption

liyuf'sidū (لِيُفْسِدُوا)

7:127:10

in

fī (فِي)

7:127:11

the earth

l-arḍi (الْأَرْضِ)

7:127:12

and forsake you

wayadharaka (وَيَذَرَكَ)

7:127:13

and your gods

waālihataka (وَءَالِهَتَكَ)

7:127:14

He said

We will kill

sanuqattilu (سَنُقَتِّلُ)

their sons

abnāahum (أَبْنَاءَهُمْ)

7:127:17

and we will let live

wanastaḥyī (وَنَسْتَحْيِي)

7:127:18

their women

nisāahum (نِسَاءَهُمْ)

and indeed we

wa-innā (وَإِنَّا)

7:127:20

over them

fawqahum (فَوْقَهُمْ)

7:127:21

(are) subjugators

qāhirūna (قَاهِرُونَ)

Musa

mūsā (مُوسَى)

7:128:3

to his people

liqawmihi (لِقَوْمِهِ)

Seek help

is'taʿīnū (اسْتَعِينُوا)

from Allah

bil-lahi (بِاللَّهِ)

7:128:6

and be patient

wa-iṣ'birū (وَاصْبِرُوا)

7:128:7

Indeed

inna (إِنَّ)

7:128:8

the earth

l-arḍa (الْأَرْضَ)

7:128:9

(belongs) to Allah

lillahi (لِلَّهِ)

7:128:10

He causes to inherit it

yūrithuhā (يُورِثُهَا)

7:128:11

whom

man (مَنْ)

7:128:12

He wills

yashāu (يَشَاءُ)

7:128:13

of

min (مِنْ)

7:128:14

His servants

ʿibādihi (عِبَادِهِ)

7:128:15

And the end

wal-ʿāqibatu (وَالْعَاقِبَةُ)

7:128:16

(is) for the righteous

lil'muttaqīna (لِلْمُتَّقِينَ)

7:129:1

They said

We have been harmed

ūdhīnā (أُوذِينَا)

before

you came to us

you have come to us

Perhaps

your Lord

rabbukum (رَبُّكُمْ)

[that]

will destroy

yuh'lika (يُهْلِكَ)

7:129:16

your enemy

ʿaduwwakum (عَدُوَّكُمْ)

7:129:17

and make you successors

wayastakhlifakum (وَيَسْتَخْلِفَكُمْ)

7:129:18

in

the earth

l-arḍi (الْأَرْضِ)

then see

fayanẓura (فَيَنْظُرَ)

7:129:21

how

kayfa (كَيْفَ)

7:129:22

you will do

taʿmalūna (تَعْمَلُونَ)

And certainly

walaqad (وَلَقَدْ)

7:130:2

We seized

akhadhnā (أَخَذْنَا)

7:130:3

(the) people

āla (ءَالَ)

7:130:4

(of) Firaun

fir'ʿawna (فِرْعَوْنَ)

7:130:5

with years (of famine)

bil-sinīna (بِالسِّنِينَ)

and a deficit

wanaqṣin (وَنَقْصٍ)

ن ق ص (root)

7:130:7

of

mina (مِنَ)

7:130:8

[the] fruits

l-thamarāti (الثَّمَرَاتِ)

so that they may

laʿallahum (لَعَلَّهُمْ)

7:130:10

receive admonition

yadhakkarūna (يَذَّكَّرُونَ)

7:131:1

But when

fa-idhā (فَإِذَا)

7:131:2

came to them

jāathumu (جَاءَتْهُمُ)

7:131:3

the good

l-ḥasanatu (الْحَسَنَةُ)

7:131:4

they said

qālū (قَالُوا)

7:131:5

For us

lanā (لَنَا)

7:131:6

is this

hādhihi (هَذِهِ)

7:131:7

And if

wa-in (وَإِنْ)

7:131:8

afflicts them

tuṣib'hum (تُصِبْهُمْ)

bad

sayyi-atun (سَيِّئَةٌ)

7:131:10

they ascribe evil omens

yaṭṭayyarū (يَطَّيَّرُوا)

to Musa

bimūsā (بِمُوسَى)

and who

waman (وَمَنْ)

7:131:13

(were) with him

maʿahu (مَعَهُ)

7:131:14

Behold

alā (أَلَا)

Only

innamā (إِنَّمَا)

7:131:16

their evil omens

ṭāiruhum (طَائِرُهُمْ)

(are) with

ʿinda (عِنْدَ)

7:131:18

Allah

l-lahi (اللَّهِ)

7:131:19

but

walākinna (وَلَكِنَّ)

7:131:20

most of them

aktharahum (أَكْثَرَهُمْ)

(do) not

lā (لَا)

7:131:22

know

yaʿlamūna (يَعْلَمُونَ)

And they said

waqālū (وَقَالُوا)

7:132:2

Whatever

mahmā (مَهْمَا)

you bring us

tatinā (تَأْتِنَا)

therewith

bihi (بِهِ)

min (مِنْ)

(the) sign

āyatin (ءَايَةٍ)

so that you bewitch us

litasḥaranā (لِتَسْحَرَنَا)

with it

bihā (بِهَا)

then not

famā (فَمَا)

we

naḥnu (نَحْنُ)

(will be) in you

laka (لَكَ)

believers

bimu'minīna (بِمُؤْمِنِينَ)

So We sent

fa-arsalnā (فَأَرْسَلْنَا)

7:133:2

on them

ʿalayhimu (عَلَيْهِمُ)

7:133:3

the flood

l-ṭūfāna (الطُّوفَانَ)

7:133:4

and the locusts

wal-jarāda (وَالْجَرَادَ)

and the lice

wal-qumala (وَالْقُمَّلَ)

7:133:6

and the frogs

wal-ḍafādiʿa (وَالضَّفَادِعَ)

and the blood

wal-dama (وَالدَّمَ)

(as) signs

āyātin (ءَايَاتٍ)

7:133:9

manifest

mufaṣṣalātin (مُفَصَّلَاتٍ)

7:133:10

but they showed arrogance

fa-is'takbarū (فَاسْتَكْبَرُوا)

7:133:11

and they were

wakānū (وَكَانُوا)

7:133:12

a people

qawman (قَوْمًا)

7:133:13

criminal

muj'rimīna (مُجْرِمِينَ)

7:134:1

And when

walammā (وَلَمَّا)

7:134:2

fell

waqaʿa (وَقَعَ)

7:134:3

on them

ʿalayhimu (عَلَيْهِمُ)

7:134:4

the punishment

l-rij'zu (الرِّجْزُ)

they said

qālū (قَالُوا)

7:134:6

O Musa

yāmūsā (يَامُوسَى)

7:134:7

Invoke

ud'ʿu (ادْعُ)

7:134:8

for us

lanā (لَنَا)

7:134:9

your Lord

rabbaka (رَبَّكَ)

7:134:10

by what

bimā (بِمَا)

7:134:11

He has promised

ʿahida (عَهِدَ)

to you

ʿindaka (عِنْدَكَ)

7:134:13

If

la-in (لَئِنْ)

7:134:14

you remove

kashafta (كَشَفْتَ)

from us

ʿannā (عَنَّا)

the punishment

l-rij'za (الرِّجْزَ)

7:134:17

surely we will believe

lanu'minanna (لَنُؤْمِنَنَّ)

7:134:18

[for] you

laka (لَكَ)

7:134:19

and surely we will send

walanur'silanna (وَلَنُرْسِلَنَّ)

7:134:20

with you

maʿaka (مَعَكَ)

7:134:21

(the) Children

banī (بَنِي)

(of) Israel

is'rāīla (إِسْرَاءِيلَ)

7:135:1

But when

falammā (فَلَمَّا)

We removed

kashafnā (كَشَفْنَا)

from them

ʿanhumu (عَنْهُمُ)

7:135:4

the punishment

l-rij'za (الرِّجْزَ)

till

ilā (إِلَى)

a (fixed) term

ajalin (أَجَلٍ)

(which) they

hum (هُمْ)

7:135:8

were to reach [it]

bālighūhu (بَالِغُوهُ)

then

idhā (إِذَا)

7:135:10

they

hum (هُمْ)

broke (the word)

yankuthūna (يَنْكُثُونَ)

So We took retribution

fa-intaqamnā (فَانْتَقَمْنَا)

from them

min'hum (مِنْهُمْ)

and We drowned them

fa-aghraqnāhum (فَأَغْرَقْنَاهُمْ)

because they

bi-annahum (بِأَنَّهُمْ)

Our Signs

and they were

wakānū (وَكَانُوا)

to them

ʿanhā (عَنْهَا)

heedless

ghāfilīna (غَافِلِينَ)

7:137:1

And We made inheritors

wa-awrathnā (وَأَوْرَثْنَا)

7:137:2

the people

l-qawma (الْقَوْمَ)

7:137:3

those who

alladhīna (الَّذِينَ)

7:137:4

were

kānū (كَانُوا)

7:137:5

considered weak

yus'taḍʿafūna (يُسْتَضْعَفُونَ)

7:137:6

(the) eastern (parts)

mashāriqa (مَشَارِقَ)

(of) the land

l-arḍi (الْأَرْضِ)

7:137:8

and the western (parts) of it

wamaghāribahā (وَمَغَارِبَهَا)

which

We blessed

bāraknā (بَارَكْنَا)

And was fulfilled

(of) Israel

is'rāīla (إِسْرَاءِيلَ)

they were patient

And We destroyed

wadammarnā (وَدَمَّرْنَا)

a people

devoted

idols

of theirs

They said

O Musa

Make

for us

a god

ilāhan (إِلَهًا)

like what

kamā (كَمَا)

they have

lahum (لَهُمْ)

gods

ālihatun (ءَالِهَةٌ)

He said

Indeed you

a god

while He

wahuwa (وَهُوَ)

has preferred you

faḍḍalakum (فَضَّلَكُمْ)

the worlds

l-ʿālamīna (الْعَالَمِينَ)

And when

We saved you

anjaynākum (أَنْجَيْنَاكُمْ)

from

(the) people

āli (ءَالِ)

(of) Firaun

who were afflicting you

yasūmūnakum (يَسُومُونَكُمْ)

(with) worst

sūa (سُوءَ)

7:141:8

(of) torment

l-ʿadhābi (الْعَذَابِ)

they were killing

yuqattilūna (يُقَتِّلُونَ)

your sons

abnāakum (أَبْنَاءَكُمْ)

and letting live

wayastaḥyūna (وَيَسْتَحْيُونَ)

your women

(was) a trial

balāon (بَلَاءٌ)

great

ʿaẓīmun (عَظِيمٌ)

And We appointed

wawāʿadnā (وَوَاعَدْنَا)

(for) Musa

mūsā (مُوسَى)

7:142:3

thirty

thalāthīna (ثَلَاثِينَ)

nights

laylatan (لَيْلَةً)

ل ى ل (root)

7:142:5

and We completed them

wa-atmamnāhā (وَأَتْمَمْنَاهَا)

with ten (more)

biʿashrin (بِعَشْرٍ)

so was completed

fatamma (فَتَمَّ)

(of) his Lord

rabbihi (رَبِّهِ)

to Our appointed place

and spoke to him

O my Lord

Show me

(that) I may look

anẓur (أَنْظُرْ)

at You

ilayka (إِلَيْكَ)

Never

to the mountain

lil'jabali (لِلْجَبَلِ)

He made it

jaʿalahu (جَعَلَهُ)

crumbled to dust

dakkan (دَكًّا)

and fell down

wakharra (وَخَرَّ)

the people

l-nāsi (النَّاسِ)

with My Messages

birisālātī (بِرِسَالَاتِي)

and with My words

wabikalāmī (وَبِكَلَامِي)

So take

fakhudh (فَخُذْ)

what

I have given you

ātaytuka (ءَاتَيْتُكَ)

and be

wakun (وَكُنْ)

among

the grateful

l-shākirīna (الشَّاكِرِينَ)

And We ordained (laws)

wakatabnā (وَكَتَبْنَا)

for him

the tablets

l-alwāḥi (الْأَلْوَاحِ)

with firmness

biquwwatin (بِقُوَّةٍ)

and order

wamur (وَأْمُرْ)

your people

qawmaka (قَوْمَكَ)

(to) take

yakhudhū (يَأْخُذُوا)

(the) best of it

bi-aḥsanihā (بِأَحْسَنِهَا)

I will show you

sa-urīkum (سَأُورِيكُمْ)

(the) home

dāra (دَارَ)

(of) the defiantly disobedient

l-fāsiqīna (الْفَاسِقِينَ)

I will turn away

they will believe

in it

they see

sabīla (سَبِيلَ)

(of) the righteousness

l-rush'di (الرُّشْدِ)

they will take it

(as) a way

they will take it

(is) because they

bi-annahum (بِأَنَّهُمْ)

denied

kadhabū (كَذَّبُوا)

Our Signs

and they were

of them

heedless

And those who

denied

kadhabū (كَذَّبُوا)

They took it (for worship)

and they were

wakānū (وَكَانُوا)

wrongdoers

ẓālimīna (ظَالِمِينَ)

And when

walammā (وَلَمَّا)

(it was made to) fall

has Mercy on us

Our Lord

[for] us

lanā (لَنَا)

we will surely be

lanakūnanna (لَنَكُونَنَّ)

and were about to

So (let) not

rejoice

and (do) not

the wrongdoing

(are) the Most Merciful

the ones who invent (falsehood)

l-muf'tarīna (الْمُفْتَرِينَ)

And those who

wa-alladhīna (وَالَّذِينَ)

the evil deeds

l-sayiāti (السَّيِّئَاتِ)

repented

Indeed we

I afflict

but My Mercy

So I will ordain it

(are) righteous

and give

wayu'tūna (وَيُؤْتُونَ)

l-zakata (الزَّكَوةَ)

and those who

wa-alladhīna (وَالَّذِينَ)

the light

god

Him

huwa (هُوَ)

He gives life

yuḥ'yī (يُحْيِي)

and causes death

wayumītu (وَيُمِيتُ)

So believe

faāminū (فَءَامِنُوا)

in Allah

bil-lahi (بِاللَّهِ)

and His Messenger

warasūlihi (وَرَسُولِهِ)

laʿallakum (لَعَلَّكُمْ)

(be) guided

tahtadūna (تَهْتَدُونَ)

And among

wamin (وَمِنْ)

(the) people

qawmi (قَوْمِ)

7:159:3

(of) Musa

mūsā (مُوسَى)

7:159:4

(is) a community

ummatun (أُمَّةٌ)

7:159:5

(which) guides

yahdūna (يَهْدُونَ)

7:159:6

with truth

bil-ḥaqi (بِالْحَقِّ)

7:159:7

and by it

wabihi (وَبِهِ)

7:159:8

establishes justice

yaʿdilūna (يَعْدِلُونَ)

asked him for water

(with) the clouds

and We sent down

wa-anzalnā (وَأَنْزَلْنَا)

upon them

the Manna

l-mana (الْمَنَّ)

and the quails

wal-salwā (وَالسَّلْوَى)

Eat

the gate

prostrating

We will forgive

naghfir (نَغْفِرْ)

for you

lakum (لَكُمْ)

your sins

We will increase (reward)

(whom) Allah

(is going to) destroy them

muh'likuhum (مُهْلِكُهُمْ)

punish them

muʿadhibuhum (مُعَذِّبُهُمْ)

7:164:12

(with) a punishment

ʿadhāban (عَذَابًا)

7:164:13

severe

shadīdan (شَدِيدًا)

To be absolved

become righteous

they forgot

nasū (نَسُوا)

what

they had been reminded

dhukkirū (ذُكِّرُوا)

with [it]

We saved

anjaynā (أَنْجَيْنَا)

those who

alladhīna (الَّذِينَ)

forbade

yanhawna (يَنْهَوْنَ)

7:165:9

[from]

ʿani (عَنِ)

7:165:10

the evil

l-sūi (السُّوءِ)

7:165:11

and We seized

wa-akhadhnā (وَأَخَذْنَا)

7:165:12

those who

alladhīna (الَّذِينَ)

7:165:13

wronged

ẓalamū (ظَلَمُوا)

7:165:14

with a punishment

biʿadhābin (بِعَذَابٍ)

7:165:15

wretched

baīsin (بَئِيسٍ)

7:165:16

because

bimā (بِمَا)

7:165:17

they were

kānū (كَانُوا)

7:165:18

defiantly disobeying

yafsuqūna (يَفْسُقُونَ)

7:166:1

So when

falammā (فَلَمَّا)

they exceeded all bounds

that He would surely send

(of) the Resurrection

(those) who

man (مَنْ)

would afflict them

(with) a grievous

sūa (سُوءَ)

7:167:12

[the] punishment

l-ʿadhābi (الْعَذَابِ)

Indeed

inna (إِنَّ)

your Lord

rabbaka (رَبَّكَ)

7:167:15

(is) surely swift

lasarīʿu (لَسَرِيعُ)

(in) the retribution

l-ʿiqābi (الْعِقَابِ)

7:167:17

but indeed He

wa-innahu (وَإِنَّهُ)

(is) surely Oft-Forgiving

laghafūrun (لَغَفُورٌ)

Most Merciful

raḥīmun (رَحِيمٌ)

7:168:1

And We divided them

waqaṭṭaʿnāhum (وَقَطَّعْنَاهُمْ)

7:168:2

in

the earth

l-arḍi (الْأَرْضِ)

7:168:4

(as) nations

umaman (أُمَمًا)

7:168:5

Among them

min'humu (مِنْهُمُ)

7:168:6

(are) the righteous

l-ṣāliḥūna (الصَّالِحُونَ)

7:168:7

and among them

wamin'hum (وَمِنْهُمْ)

7:168:8

(are) other than

dūna (دُونَ)

7:168:9

that

dhālika (ذَلِكَ)

7:168:10

And We tested them

wabalawnāhum (وَبَلَوْنَاهُمْ)

with the good

bil-ḥasanāti (بِالْحَسَنَاتِ)

7:168:12

and the bad

wal-sayiāti (وَالسَّيِّئَاتِ)

7:168:13

so that they may

laʿallahum (لَعَلَّهُمْ)

return

yarjiʿūna (يَرْجِعُونَ)

the lower (life)

and they say

It will be forgiven

for us

lanā (لَنَا)

And if

wa-in (وَإِنْ)

comes to them

yatihim (يَأْتِهِمْ)

goods

they will take it

Covenant

Allah

l-lahi (اللَّهِ)

the truth

l-ḥaqa (الْحَقَّ)

while they studied

wadarasū (وَدَرَسُوا)

And the home

wal-dāru (وَالدَّارُ)

(of) the Hereafter

for those who

lilladhīna (لِلَّذِينَ)

7:169:38

fear Allah

yattaqūna (يَتَّقُونَ)

7:169:39

So will not

afalā (أَفَلَا)

you use intellect

taʿqilūna (تَعْقِلُونَ)

And those who

wa-alladhīna (وَالَّذِينَ)

hold fast

yumassikūna (يُمَسِّكُونَ)

to the Book

bil-kitābi (بِالْكِتَابِ)

the prayer

(will) not

lā (لَا)

[We] let go waste

nuḍīʿu (نُضِيعُ)

(the) reward

(of) the reformers

l-muṣ'liḥīna (الْمُصْلِحِينَ)

We raised

the mountain

l-jabala (الْجَبَلَ)

above them

as if it was

a canopy

and they thought

waẓannū (وَظَنُّوا)

that it

(would) fall

upon them

(We said) Take

khudhū (خُذُوا)

We have given you

ātaynākum (ءَاتَيْنَاكُمْ)

with strength

biquwwatin (بِقُوَّةٍ)

and remember

wa-udh'kurū (وَاذْكُرُوا)

what

(is) in it

fīhi (فِيهِ)

so that you may

laʿallakum (لَعَلَّكُمْ)

fear Allah

tattaqūna (تَتَّقُونَ)

took

akhadha (أَخَذَ)

your Lord

rabbuka (رَبُّكَ)

from

(the) Children

banī (بَنِي)

7:172:6

(of) Adam

ādama (ءَادَمَ)

7:172:7

from

min (مِنْ)

7:172:8

their loins

ẓuhūrihim (ظُهُورِهِمْ)

7:172:9

their descendants

dhurriyyatahum (ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ)

ذ ر ر (root)

7:172:10

and made them testify

wa-ashhadahum (وَأَشْهَدَهُمْ)

over

ʿalā (عَلَى)

themselves

anfusihim (أَنْفُسِهِمْ)

Am I not

alastu (أَلَسْتُ)

your Lord

birabbikum (بِرَبِّكُمْ)

They said

qālū (قَالُوا)

Yes

balā (بَلَى)

we have testified

shahid'nā (شَهِدْنَا)

Lest

an (أَنْ)

7:172:19

you say

taqūlū (تَقُولُوا)

7:172:20

(on the) Day

yawma (يَوْمَ)

(of) the Resurrection

l-qiyāmati (الْقِيَامَةِ)

Indeed

we were

kunnā (كُنَّا)

about

Only

innamā (إِنَّمَا)

associated partners

ashraka (أَشْرَكَ)

7:173:5

our forefathers

ābāunā (ءَابَاؤُنَا)

from

before (us)

qablu (قَبْلُ)

7:173:8

and we are

wakunnā (وَكُنَّا)

7:173:9

descendants

dhurriyyatan (ذُرِّيَّةً)

from

after them

baʿdihim (بَعْدِهِمْ)

So will You destroy us

afatuh'likunā (أَفَتُهْلِكُنَا)

for what

so followed him

the Shaitaan

l-shayṭānu (الشَّيْطَانُ)

and he became

those gone astray

l-ghāwīna (الْغَاوِينَ)

And if

walaw (وَلَوْ)

We willed

shi'nā (شِئْنَا)

7:176:3

surely We (could) have raised him

larafaʿnāhu (لَرَفَعْنَاهُ)

with these

[and] but he

walākinnahu (وَلَكِنَّهُ)

adhered

and followed

wa-ittabaʿa (وَاتَّبَعَ)

his (vain) desires

(is) like (the) example

kamathali (كَمَثَلِ)

(of) the dog

you attack

they plunge them

and guidance

wahudan (وَهُدًى)

and mercy

waraḥmatun (وَرَحْمَةٌ)

for a people

liqawmin (لِقَوْمٍ)

7:203:23

who believe

yu'minūna (يُؤْمِنُونَ)

7:204:1

And when

wa-idhā (وَإِذَا)

is recited

quri-a (قُرِئَ)

the Quran

receive mercy

nafsika (نَفْسِكَ)

humbly

taḍarruʿan (تَضَرُّعًا)

and (in) fear

wakhīfatan (وَخِيفَةً)

the loudness

Indeed

alladhīna (الَّذِينَ)

(are) near

ʿinda (عِنْدَ)

your Lord

rabbika (رَبِّكَ)

not

lā (لَا)

(do) they turn away in pride

yastakbirūna (يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ)

7:206:7

ʿan (عَنْ)

His worship

ʿibādatihi (عِبَادَتِهِ)

7:206:9

And they glorify Him

wayusabbiḥūnahu (وَيُسَبِّحُونَهُ)
