and set right

wa-aṣliḥū (وَأَصْلِحُوا)

(which is) between you

baynikum (بَيْنِكُمْ)

and obey

wa-aṭīʿū (وَأَطِيعُوا)

Allah

and His Messenger

warasūlahu (وَرَسُولَهُ)

you are

kuntum (كُنْتُمْ)

believers

mu'minīna (مُؤْمِنِينَ)

Only

innamā (إِنَّمَا)

the believers

l-mu'minūna (الْمُؤْمِنُونَ)

(are) those who

alladhīna (الَّذِينَ)

8:2:4

when

idhā (إِذَا)

8:2:5

is mentioned

dhukira (ذُكِرَ)

Allah

l-lahu (اللَّهُ)

feel fear

wajilat (وَجِلَتْ)

their hearts

qulūbuhum (قُلُوبُهُمْ)

and when

wa-idhā (وَإِذَا)

8:2:10

are recited

tuliyat (تُلِيَتْ)

to them

ʿalayhim (عَلَيْهِمْ)

His Verses

āyātuhu (ءَايَاتُهُ)

they increase them

zādathum (زَادَتْهُمْ)

(in) faith

īmānan (إِيمَانًا)

and upon

waʿalā (وَعَلَى)

their Lord

rabbihim (رَبِّهِمْ)

they put their trust

yatawakkalūna (يَتَوَكَّلُونَ)

Those who

alladhīna (الَّذِينَ)

establish

yuqīmūna (يُقِيمُونَ)

the prayer

l-ṣalata (الصَّلَوةَ)

and out of what

We have provided them

razaqnāhum (رَزَقْنَاهُمْ)

they spend

Those

ulāika (أُولَئِكَ)

they are

the believers

l-mu'minūna (الْمُؤْمِنُونَ)

(in) truth

ḥaqqan (حَقًّا)

For them

lahum (لَهُمْ)

(are) ranks

darajātun (دَرَجَاتٌ)

with

ʿinda (عِنْدَ)

their Lord

rabbihim (رَبِّهِمْ)

and forgiveness

wamaghfiratun (وَمَغْفِرَةٌ)

and a provision

noble

karīmun (كَرِيمٌ)

the believers

certainly disliked

concerning

the truth

was made clear

they were driven

[the] death

l-mawti (الْمَوْتِ)

while they

(were) looking

promised you

and you wished

watawaddūna (وَتَوَدُّونَ)

(one) other than

(of) the armed

Allah

(of) the disbelievers

That He might justify

the truth

and prove false

you were seeking help

(of) your Lord

[to] you

Indeed I am

going to reinforce you

mumiddukum (مُمِدُّكُمْ)

with a thousand

bi-alfin (بِأَلْفٍ)

of

mina (مِنَ)

8:9:10

the Angels

l-malāikati (الْمَلَائِكَةِ)

one after another

mur'difīna (مُرْدِفِينَ)

And not

wamā (وَمَا)

8:10:2

made it

jaʿalahu (جَعَلَهُ)

Allah

l-lahu (اللَّهُ)

but

illā (إِلَّا)

good tidings

bush'rā (بُشْرَى)

and so that might be at rest

walitaṭma-inna (وَلِتَطْمَئِنَّ)

with it

bihi (بِهِ)

your hearts

qulūbukum (قُلُوبُكُمْ)

And (there is) no

wamā (وَمَا)

8:10:10

[the] victory

l-naṣru (النَّصْرُ)

except

illā (إِلَّا)

from

min (مِنْ)

(of)

ʿindi (عِنْدِ)

Allah

l-lahi (اللَّهِ)

Indeed

inna (إِنَّ)

Allah

(is) All-Mighty

ʿazīzun (عَزِيزٌ)

8:10:18

All-Wise

ḥakīmun (حَكِيمٌ)

8:11:1

When

He covered you

yughashīkumu (يُغَشِّيكُمُ)

with [the] slumber

l-nuʿāsa (النُّعَاسَ)

a security

amanatan (أَمَنَةً)

from Him

min'hu (مِنْهُ)

and sent down

wayunazzilu (وَيُنَزِّلُ)

upon you

ʿalaykum (عَلَيْكُمْ)

from

mina (مِنَ)

8:11:9

the sky

l-samāi (السَّمَاءِ)

water

māan (مَاءً)

so that He may purify you

liyuṭahhirakum (لِيُطَهِّرَكُمْ)

with it

and take away

from you

ʿankum (عَنْكُمْ)

evil (suggestions)

(of) the Shaitaan

l-shayṭāni (الشَّيْطَانِ)

And to strengthen

waliyarbiṭa (وَلِيَرْبِطَ)

[on]

ʿalā (عَلَى)

8:11:19

your hearts

qulūbikum (قُلُوبِكُمْ)

and make firm

wayuthabbita (وَيُثَبِّتَ)

with it

bihi (بِهِ)

your feet

l-aqdāma (الْأَقْدَامَ)

inspired

your Lord

I will cast

sa-ul'qī (سَأُلْقِي)

in

fī (فِي)

8:12:13

(the) hearts

qulūbi (قُلُوبِ)

8:12:14

(of) those who

alladhīna (الَّذِينَ)

8:12:15

disbelieved

kafarū (كَفَرُوا)

8:12:16

the terror

l-ruʿ'ba (الرُّعْبَ)

8:12:17

so strike

fa-iḍ'ribū (فَاضْرِبُوا)

8:12:18

above

fawqa (فَوْقَ)

the necks

l-aʿnāqi (الْأَعْنَاقِ)

and strike

wa-iḍ'ribū (وَاضْرِبُوا)

from them

(is) because they

bi-annahum (بِأَنَّهُمْ)

opposed

shāqqū (شَاقُّوا)

Allah

and His Messenger

warasūlahu (وَرَسُولَهُ)

And whoever

waman (وَمَنْ)

opposes

yushāqiqi (يُشَاقِقِ)

Allah

l-laha (اللَّهَ)

and His Messenger

warasūlahu (وَرَسُولَهُ)

then indeed

fa-inna (فَإِنَّ)

Allah

(is) severe

shadīdu (شَدِيدُ)

8:13:13

in [the] penalty

l-ʿiqābi (الْعِقَابِ)

8:14:1

That

dhālikum (ذَلِكُمْ)

8:14:2

So taste it

fadhūqūhu (فَذُوقُوهُ)

And that

wa-anna (وَأَنَّ)

8:14:4

for the disbelievers

lil'kāfirīna (لِلْكَافِرِينَ)

(is the) punishment

ʿadhāba (عَذَابَ)

(of) the Fire

l-nāri (النَّارِ)

O you

yāayyuhā (يَاأَيُّهَا)

who

alladhīna (الَّذِينَ)

8:15:3

believe

āmanū (ءَامَنُوا)

When

you meet

laqītumu (لَقِيتُمُ)

8:15:6

those who

alladhīna (الَّذِينَ)

8:15:7

disbelieve

kafarū (كَفَرُوا)

advancing

zaḥfan (زَحْفًا)

then (do) not

falā (فَلَا)

8:15:10

turn to them

tuwallūhumu (تُوَلُّوهُمُ)

the backs

l-adbāra (الْأَدْبَارَ)

And whoever

turns to them

yuwallihim (يُوَلِّهِمْ)

that day

his back

(as) a strategy

mutaḥarrifan (مُتَحَرِّفًا)

(to) join

(he has) incurred

Allah

and his abode

(is) Hell

a wretched

wabi'sa (وَبِئْسَ)

destination

l-maṣīru (الْمَصِيرُ)

And not

falam (فَلَمْ)

you kill them

taqtulūhum (تَقْتُلُوهُمْ)

but

walākinna (وَلَكِنَّ)

Allah

l-laha (اللَّهَ)

killed them

qatalahum (قَتَلَهُمْ)

8:17:6

And not

wamā (وَمَا)

8:17:7

you threw

ramayta (رَمَيْتَ)

8:17:8

when

idh (إِذْ)

8:17:9

you threw

ramayta (رَمَيْتَ)

8:17:10

but

walākinna (وَلَكِنَّ)

8:17:11

Allah

l-laha (اللَّهَ)

threw

and that He may test

waliyub'liya (وَلِيُبْلِيَ)

the believers

l-mu'minīna (الْمُؤْمِنِينَ)

8:17:15

from Him

min'hu (مِنْهُ)

8:17:16

(with) a trial

balāan (بَلَاءً)

ب ل و (root)

8:17:17

good

ḥasanan (حَسَنًا)

ح س ن (root)

8:17:18

Indeed

inna (إِنَّ)

8:17:19

Allah

l-laha (اللَّهَ)

8:17:20

(is) All-Hearing

samīʿun (سَمِيعٌ)

8:17:21

All-Knowing

ʿalīmun (عَلِيمٌ)

8:18:1

That (is the case)

dhālikum (ذَلِكُمْ)

8:18:2

and that

wa-anna (وَأَنَّ)

8:18:3

Allah (is)

l-laha (اللَّهَ)

8:18:4

one who makes weak

mūhinu (مُوهِنُ)

(the) plan

kaydi (كَيْدِ)

8:18:6

(of) the disbelievers

l-kāfirīna (الْكَافِرِينَ)

8:19:1

If

in (إِنْ)

8:19:2

you ask for victory

tastaftiḥū (تَسْتَفْتِحُوا)

then certainly

faqad (فَقَدْ)

8:19:4

has come to you

jāakumu (جَاءَكُمُ)

8:19:5

the victory

l-fatḥu (الْفَتْحُ)

And if

wa-in (وَإِنْ)

8:19:7

you desist

tantahū (تَنْتَهُوا)

8:19:8

then it (is)

fahuwa (فَهُوَ)

8:19:9

good

khayrun (خَيْرٌ)

8:19:10

for you

lakum (لَكُمْ)

8:19:11

but if

wa-in (وَإِنْ)

8:19:12

you return

taʿūdū (تَعُودُوا)

8:19:13

We will return (too)

naʿud (نَعُدْ)

ع و د (root)

8:19:14

And never

walan (وَلَنْ)

8:19:15

will avail

tugh'niya (تُغْنِيَ)

you

ʿankum (عَنْكُمْ)

8:19:17

your forces

fi-atukum (فِئَتُكُمْ)

8:19:18

anything

shayan (شَيْئًا)

8:19:19

even if

walaw (وَلَوْ)

8:19:20

(they are) numerous

kathurat (كَثُرَتْ)

8:19:21

And that

wa-anna (وَأَنَّ)

8:19:22

Allah

l-laha (اللَّهَ)

8:19:23

(is) with

maʿa (مَعَ)

8:19:24

the believers

l-mu'minīna (الْمُؤْمِنِينَ)

8:20:1

O you

yāayyuhā (يَاأَيُّهَا)

8:20:2

who

alladhīna (الَّذِينَ)

8:20:3

believe

āmanū (ءَامَنُوا)

8:20:4

Obey

aṭīʿū (أَطِيعُوا)

8:20:5

Allah

l-laha (اللَّهَ)

8:20:6

and His Messenger

warasūlahu (وَرَسُولَهُ)

8:20:7

And (do) not

walā (وَلَا)

8:20:8

turn away

tawallaw (تَوَلَّوْا)

8:20:9

from him

ʿanhu (عَنْهُ)

8:20:10

while you

wa-antum (وَأَنْتُمْ)

8:20:11

hear

tasmaʿūna (تَسْمَعُونَ)

8:21:1

And (do) not

walā (وَلَا)

8:21:2

be

takūnū (تَكُونُوا)

8:21:3

like those who

ka-alladhīna (كَالَّذِينَ)

8:21:4

say

qālū (قَالُوا)

8:21:5

We heard

samiʿ'nā (سَمِعْنَا)

8:21:6

while they

wahum (وَهُمْ)

8:21:7

(do) not

lā (لَا)

8:21:8

hear

yasmaʿūna (يَسْمَعُونَ)

8:22:1

Indeed

inna (إِنَّ)

8:22:2

worst

sharra (شَرَّ)

8:22:3

(of) the living creatures

l-dawābi (الدَّوَابِّ)

near

ʿinda (عِنْدَ)

8:22:5

Allah

l-lahi (اللَّهِ)

(are) the deaf

l-ṣumu (الصُّمُّ)

the dumb

l-buk'mu (الْبُكْمُ)

those who

alladhīna (الَّذِينَ)

8:22:9

(do) not

lā (لَا)

use (their) intellect

yaʿqilūna (يَعْقِلُونَ)

And if

walaw (وَلَوْ)

(had) known

ʿalima (عَلِمَ)

Allah

l-lahu (اللَّهُ)

in them

fīhim (فِيهِمْ)

any good

khayran (خَيْرًا)

8:23:6

surely He (would) have made them hear

la-asmaʿahum (لَأَسْمَعَهُمْ)

8:23:7

And if

walaw (وَلَوْ)

8:23:8

He had made them hear

asmaʿahum (أَسْمَعَهُمْ)

8:23:9

surely they would have turned away

latawallaw (لَتَوَلَّوْا)

8:23:10

while they

wahum (وَهُمْ)

8:23:11

(were) averse

muʿ'riḍūna (مُعْرِضُونَ)

ع ر ض (root)

8:24:1

O you

yāayyuhā (يَاأَيُّهَا)

8:24:2

who

alladhīna (الَّذِينَ)

8:24:3

believe

āmanū (ءَامَنُوا)

8:24:4

Respond

is'tajībū (اسْتَجِيبُوا)

to Allah

lillahi (لِلَّهِ)

8:24:6

and His Messenger

walilrrasūli (وَلِلرَّسُولِ)

8:24:7

when

idhā (إِذَا)

8:24:8

he calls you

daʿākum (دَعَاكُمْ)

to what

limā (لِمَا)

8:24:10

gives you life

yuḥ'yīkum (يُحْيِيكُمْ)

And know

wa-iʿ'lamū (وَاعْلَمُوا)

that

anna (أَنَّ)

8:24:13

Allah

l-laha (اللَّهَ)

comes

yaḥūlu (يَحُولُ)

8:24:15

(in) between

bayna (بَيْنَ)

8:24:16

a man

l-mari (الْمَرْءِ)

8:24:17

and his heart

waqalbihi (وَقَلْبِهِ)

8:24:18

and that

wa-annahu (وَأَنَّهُ)

8:24:19

to Him

ilayhi (إِلَيْهِ)

8:24:20

you will be gathered

tuḥ'sharūna (تُحْشَرُونَ)

8:25:1

And fear

wa-ittaqū (وَاتَّقُوا)

8:25:2

a trial

fit'natan (فِتْنَةً)

Allah

(is) severe

shadīdu (شَدِيدُ)

(in) the penalty

l-ʿiqābi (الْعِقَابِ)

And remember

wa-udh'kurū (وَاذْكُرُوا)

when

you

antum (أَنْتُمْ)

(were) few

qalīlun (قَلِيلٌ)

8:26:5

(and) deemed weak

mus'taḍʿafūna (مُسْتَضْعَفُونَ)

in

fī (فِي)

8:26:7

the earth

l-arḍi (الْأَرْضِ)

8:26:8

fearing

takhāfūna (تَخَافُونَ)

that

an (أَنْ)

8:26:10

might do away with you

yatakhaṭṭafakumu (يَتَخَطَّفَكُمُ)

the men

l-nāsu (النَّاسُ)

then He sheltered you

faāwākum (فَءَاوَاكُمْ)

8:26:13

and strengthened you

wa-ayyadakum (وَأَيَّدَكُمْ)

with His help

binaṣrihi (بِنَصْرِهِ)

8:26:15

and provided you

warazaqakum (وَرَزَقَكُمْ)

8:26:16

of

mina (مِنَ)

8:26:17

the good things

l-ṭayibāti (الطَّيِّبَاتِ)

so that you may

laʿallakum (لَعَلَّكُمْ)

(be) thankful

tashkurūna (تَشْكُرُونَ)

O you

yāayyuhā (يَاأَيُّهَا)

who

alladhīna (الَّذِينَ)

believe

āmanū (ءَامَنُوا)

8:27:4

(Do) not

lā (لَا)

betray

takhūnū (تَخُونُوا)

8:27:6

Allah

l-laha (اللَّهَ)

and the Messenger

wal-rasūla (وَالرَّسُولَ)

8:27:8

or betray

watakhūnū (وَتَخُونُوا)

8:27:9

your trusts

amānātikum (أَمَانَاتِكُمْ)

8:27:10

while you

wa-antum (وَأَنْتُمْ)

8:27:11

know

taʿlamūna (تَعْلَمُونَ)

8:28:1

And know

wa-iʿ'lamū (وَاعْلَمُوا)

8:28:2

that

annamā (أَنَّمَا)

8:28:3

your wealth

amwālukum (أَمْوَالُكُمْ)

and your children

wa-awlādukum (وَأَوْلَادُكُمْ)

و ل د (root)

8:28:5

(are) a trial

fit'natun (فِتْنَةٌ)

8:28:6

And that

wa-anna (وَأَنَّ)

Allah

l-laha (اللَّهَ)

8:28:8

with Him

ʿindahu (عِنْدَهُ)

8:28:9

(is) a reward

ajrun (أَجْرٌ)

great

ʿaẓīmun (عَظِيمٌ)

O you

yāayyuhā (يَاأَيُّهَا)

8:29:2

who

alladhīna (الَّذِينَ)

8:29:3

believe

āmanū (ءَامَنُوا)

8:29:4

If

in (إِنْ)

8:29:5

you fear

tattaqū (تَتَّقُوا)

8:29:6

Allah

l-laha (اللَّهَ)

8:29:7

He will grant

yajʿal (يَجْعَلْ)

8:29:8

you

lakum (لَكُمْ)

8:29:9

a criterion

fur'qānan (فُرْقَانًا)

and will remove

wayukaffir (وَيُكَفِّرْ)

8:29:11

from you

ʿankum (عَنْكُمْ)

8:29:12

your evil deeds

sayyiātikum (سَيِّئَاتِكُمْ)

and forgive

wayaghfir (وَيَغْفِرْ)

8:29:14

you

lakum (لَكُمْ)

8:29:15

And Allah

wal-lahu (وَاللَّهُ)

Possessor

the Bounty

l-faḍli (الْفَضْلِ)

the Great

plotted

yamkuru (يَمْكُرُ)

against you

those who

alladhīna (الَّذِينَ)

disbelieved

kafarū (كَفَرُوا)

that they restrain you

liyuth'bitūka (لِيُثْبِتُوكَ)

8:30:7

or

aw (أَوْ)

8:30:8

kill you

yaqtulūka (يَقْتُلُوكَ)

8:30:9

or

aw (أَوْ)

8:30:10

drive you out

yukh'rijūka (يُخْرِجُوكَ)

And they were planning

wayamkurūna (وَيَمْكُرُونَ)

8:30:12

and (also) was planning

wayamkuru (وَيَمْكُرُ)

8:30:13

Allah

l-lahu (اللَّهُ)

And Allah

wal-lahu (وَاللَّهُ)

8:30:15

is (the) Best

khayru (خَيْرُ)

(of) the Planners

l-mākirīna (الْمَاكِرِينَ)

And when

are recited

the truth

then (send) rain

upon us

(of) stones

ḥijāratan (حِجَارَةً)

from

the sky

bring (upon) us

i'tinā (ائْتِنَا)

a punishment

that He punishes them

while you

(are) among them

fīhim (فِيهِمْ)

and not

wamā (وَمَا)

is

Allah

the One Who punishes them

muʿadhibahum (مُعَذِّبَهُمْ)

while they

wahum (وَهُمْ)

seek forgiveness

yastaghfirūna (يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ)

But what

wamā (وَمَا)

8:34:2

(is) for them

lahum (لَهُمْ)

8:34:3

that not

allā (أَلَّا)

8:34:4

(should) punish them

yuʿadhibahumu (يُعَذِّبَهُمُ)

Allah

while they

hinder (people)

yaṣuddūna (يَصُدُّونَ)

(do) not

yaʿlamūna (يَعْلَمُونَ)

And not

wamā (وَمَا)

was

kāna (كَانَ)

their prayer

ṣalātuhum (صَلَاتُهُمْ)

at

the House

l-bayti (الْبَيْتِ)

except

whistling

and clapping

the punishment

you used to

disbelieve

Indeed

inna (إِنَّ)

those who

alladhīna (الَّذِينَ)

disbelieve

kafarū (كَفَرُوا)

they spend

yunfiqūna (يُنْفِقُونَ)

8:36:5

their wealth

amwālahum (أَمْوَالَهُمْ)

to hinder (people)

liyaṣuddū (لِيَصُدُّوا)

from

ʿan (عَنْ)

(the) way

sabīli (سَبِيلِ)

(of) Allah

So they will spend it

fasayunfiqūnahā (فَسَيُنْفِقُونَهَا)

then

thumma (ثُمَّ)

it will be

for them

a regret

they will be overcome

Hell

Hell

(are) the losers

the religion

for Allah

they cease

then indeed

fa-inna (فَإِنَّ)

Allah

of what

they do

(is) All-Seer

baṣīrun (بَصِيرٌ)

they turn away

tawallaw (تَوَلَّوْا)

(is) your Protector

mawlākum (مَوْلَاكُمْ)

Excellent

niʿ'ma (نِعْمَ)

(is) the Protector

l-mawlā (الْمَوْلَى)

and Excellent

waniʿ'ma (وَنِعْمَ)

8:40:10

(is) the Helper

l-naṣīru (النَّصِيرُ)

8:41:1

And know

wa-iʿ'lamū (وَاعْلَمُوا)

8:41:2

that what

annamā (أَنَّمَا)

8:41:3

you obtain (as) spoils of war

ghanim'tum (غَنِمْتُمْ)

of

min (مِنْ)

8:41:5

anything

shayin (شَيْءٍ)

8:41:6

then that

fa-anna (فَأَنَّ)

8:41:7

for Allah

lillahi (لِلَّهِ)

(is) one fifth of it

khumusahu (خُمُسَهُ)

and for the Messenger

walilrrasūli (وَلِلرَّسُولِ)

and for the

walidhī (وَلِذِي)

8:41:11

near relatives

l-qur'bā (الْقُرْبَى)

and the orphans

wal-yatāmā (وَالْيَتَامَى)

and the needy

wal-masākīni (وَالْمَسَاكِينِ)

and the

wa-ib'ni (وَابْنِ)

wayfarer

l-sabīli (السَّبِيلِ)

We sent down

Our slave

ʿabdinā (عَبْدِنَا)

(on the) day

(of) the criterion

All-Knowing

surely you would have lost courage

lafashil'tum (لَفَشِلْتُمْ)

and surely you would have disputed

walatanāzaʿtum (وَلَتَنَازَعْتُمْ)

in

the matter

Allah

and He made you (appear) as few

wayuqallilukum (وَيُقَلِّلُكُمْ)

their eyes

idhā (إِذَا)

you meet

laqītum (لَقِيتُمْ)

a force

fi-atan (فِئَةً)

8:45:7

then be firm

fa-uth'butū (فَاثْبُتُوا)

8:45:8

and remember

wa-udh'kurū (وَاذْكُرُوا)

8:45:9

Allah

l-laha (اللَّهَ)

much

kathīran (كَثِيرًا)

8:45:11

so that you may

laʿallakum (لَعَلَّكُمْ)

(be) successful

tuf'liḥūna (تُفْلِحُونَ)

And obey

wa-aṭīʿū (وَأَطِيعُوا)

Allah

l-laha (اللَّهَ)

and His Messenger

warasūlahu (وَرَسُولَهُ)

and (do) not

walā (وَلَا)

8:46:5

dispute

tanāzaʿū (تَنَازَعُوا)

lest you lose courage

fatafshalū (فَتَفْشَلُوا)

and (would) depart

watadhhaba (وَتَذْهَبَ)

ذ ه ب (root)

your strength

rīḥukum (رِيحُكُمْ)

and be patient

wa-iṣ'birū (وَاصْبِرُوا)

Indeed

inna (إِنَّ)

Allah

the patient ones

l-ṣābirīna (الصَّابِرِينَ)

And (do) not

walā (وَلَا)

be

takūnū (تَكُونُوا)

like those who

ka-alladhīna (كَالَّذِينَ)

8:47:4

came forth

kharajū (خَرَجُوا)

from

min (مِنْ)

their homes

diyārihim (دِيَارِهِمْ)

boastfully

baṭaran (بَطَرًا)

and showing off

wariāa (وَرِئَاءَ)

(to) the people

l-nāsi (النَّاسِ)

and hinder (them)

wayaṣuddūna (وَيَصُدُّونَ)

ʿan (عَنْ)

(the) way

sabīli (سَبِيلِ)

(of) Allah

And Allah

wal-lahu (وَاللَّهُ)

they do

yaʿmalūna (يَعْمَلُونَ)

(is) All-Encompassing

muḥīṭun (مُحِيطٌ)

made fair-seeming

the Shaitaan

their deeds

aʿmālahum (أَعْمَالَهُمْ)

and he said

waqāla (وَقَالَ)

No (one)

lā (لَا)

8:48:8

(can) overcome

ghāliba (غَالِبَ)

[to] you

lakumu (لَكُمُ)

today

l-yawma (الْيَوْمَ)

from

mina (مِنَ)

the people

l-nāsi (النَّاسِ)

and indeed I am

wa-innī (وَإِنِّي)

a neighbor

jārun (جَارٌ)

for you

came in sight

the two forces

he turned away

his heels

(was) a disease

(Had) deluded

these (people)

their religion

puts (his) trust

yatawakkal (يَتَوَكَّلْ)

Taste

to His slaves

Like (the) way

(of) people

āli (ءَالِ)

Firaun

fir'ʿawna (فِرْعَوْنَ)

and those who

wa-alladhīna (وَالَّذِينَ)

(were) from

min (مِنْ)

before them

qablihim (قَبْلِهِمْ)

They disbelieved

kafarū (كَفَرُوا)

in (the) Signs

biāyāti (بِءَايَاتِ)

(of) Allah

l-lahi (اللَّهِ)

so seized them

fa-akhadhahumu (فَأَخَذَهُمُ)

for their sins

Indeed

they change

All-Knowing

Like (the) way

(of) Firaun

before them

qablihim (قَبْلِهِمْ)

They denied

kadhabū (كَذَّبُوا)

(the) Signs

biāyāti (بِءَايَاتِ)

(of) their Lord

rabbihim (رَبِّهِمْ)

so We destroyed them

fa-ahlaknāhum (فَأَهْلَكْنَاهُمْ)

8:54:11

for their sins

bidhunūbihim (بِذُنُوبِهِمْ)

ذ ن ب (root)

8:54:12

and We drowned

wa-aghraqnā (وَأَغْرَقْنَا)

غ ر ق (root)

8:54:13

(the) people

āla (ءَالَ)

8:54:14

(of) Firaun

fir'ʿawna (فِرْعَوْنَ)

and (they) all

wakullun (وَكُلٌّ)

8:54:16

were

kānū (كَانُوا)

8:54:17

wrongdoers

ẓālimīna (ظَالِمِينَ)

Indeed

inna (إِنَّ)

(the) worst

sharra (شَرَّ)

(of) the living creatures

Allah

you made a covenant

with them

they break

take heed

you fear

and your enemy

and others

waākharīna (وَءَاخَرِينَ)

(the) way

(of) Allah

it will be fully repaid

and you

wa-antum (وَأَنْتُمْ)

be wronged

wa-in (وَإِنْ)

they incline

janaḥū (جَنَحُوا)

to peace

then you (also) incline

to it

and put (your) trust

(is) All-Hearer

All-Knower

wa-in (وَإِنْ)

they intend

yurīdū (يُرِيدُوا)

8:62:3

to

an (أَنْ)

deceive you

yakhdaʿūka (يَخْدَعُوكَ)

then indeed

fa-inna (فَإِنَّ)

8:62:6

is sufficient for you

ḥasbaka (حَسْبَكَ)

Allah

(is) the One Who

supported you

with His help

and with the believers

wabil-mu'minīna (وَبِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ)

And He (has) put affection

wa-allafa (وَأَلَّفَ)

bayna (بَيْنَ)

their hearts

qulūbihim (قُلُوبِهِمْ)

If

law (لَوْ)

you (had) spent

anfaqta (أَنْفَقْتَ)

whatever

(is) in

the earth

l-arḍi (الْأَرْضِ)

all

jamīʿan (جَمِيعًا)

disbelieve

bi-annahum (بِأَنَّهُمْ)

(are) a people

(who do) not

lā (لَا)

understand

(there) is weakness

ḍaʿfan (ضَعْفًا)

So if

fa-in (فَإِنْ)

8:66:10

(there) are

yakun (يَكُنْ)

8:66:11

among you

minkum (مِنْكُمْ)

8:66:12

a hundred

mi-atun (مِائَةٌ)

8:66:13

steadfast

ṣābiratun (صَابِرَةٌ)

8:66:14

they will overcome

yaghlibū (يَغْلِبُوا)

8:66:15

two hundred

mi-atayni (مِائَتَيْنِ)

8:66:16

And if

wa-in (وَإِنْ)

8:66:17

(there) are

yakun (يَكُنْ)

8:66:18

among you

minkum (مِنْكُمْ)

8:66:19

a thousand

alfun (أَلْفٌ)

8:66:20

they will overcome

yaghlibū (يَغْلِبُوا)

8:66:21

two thousand

alfayni (أَلْفَيْنِ)

8:66:22

with permission

bi-idh'ni (بِإِذْنِ)

ا ذ ن (root)

8:66:23

(of) Allah

l-lahi (اللَّهِ)

8:66:24

And Allah

wal-lahu (وَاللَّهُ)

8:66:25

(is) with

maʿa (مَعَ)

8:66:26

the steadfast

l-ṣābirīna (الصَّابِرِينَ)

8:67:1

Not

mā (مَا)

8:67:2

is

kāna (كَانَ)

8:67:3

for a Prophet

linabiyyin (لِنَبِيٍّ)

8:67:4

that

an (أَنْ)

8:67:5

(there) should be

yakūna (يَكُونَ)

8:67:6

for him

lahu (لَهُ)

8:67:7

prisoners of war

asrā (أَسْرَى)

until

ḥattā (حَتَّى)

8:67:9

he has battled strenuously

yuth'khina (يُثْخِنَ)

in

fī (فِي)

the land

l-arḍi (الْأَرْضِ)

You desire

turīdūna (تُرِيدُونَ)

8:67:13

(the) commodities

ʿaraḍa (عَرَضَ)

(of) the world

l-dun'yā (الدُّنْيَا)

but Allah

wal-lahu (وَاللَّهُ)

desires

yurīdu (يُرِيدُ)

(for you) the Hereafter

l-ākhirata (الْءَاخِرَةَ)

And Allah

wal-lahu (وَاللَّهُ)

(is) All-Mighty

ʿazīzun (عَزِيزٌ)

All-Wise

ḥakīmun (حَكِيمٌ)

Had not

and fear

Allah

Indeed

Allah

(is) Oft-Forgiving

Most Merciful

He will give you

and He will forgive

And Allah

(is) Oft-Forgiving

ghafūrun (غَفُورٌ)

Most Merciful

raḥīmun (رَحِيمٌ)

wa-in (وَإِنْ)

they intend

yurīdū (يُرِيدُوا)

(to) betray you

khiyānataka (خِيَانَتَكَ)

certainly

faqad (فَقَدْ)

they have betrayed

khānū (خَانُوا)

8:71:6

Allah

before

So He gave (you) power

fa-amkana (فَأَمْكَنَ)

over them

And Allah

(is) All-Knower

ʿalīmun (عَلِيمٌ)

All-Wise

Indeed

inna (إِنَّ)

those who

alladhīna (الَّذِينَ)

8:72:3

believed

āmanū (ءَامَنُوا)

8:72:4

and emigrated

wahājarū (وَهَاجَرُوا)

8:72:5

and strove hard

wajāhadū (وَجَاهَدُوا)

with their wealth

bi-amwālihim (بِأَمْوَالِهِمْ)

م و ل (root)

8:72:7

and their lives

wa-anfusihim (وَأَنْفُسِهِمْ)

in

(the) way

sabīli (سَبِيلِ)

8:72:10

(of) Allah

l-lahi (اللَّهِ)

8:72:11

and those who

wa-alladhīna (وَالَّذِينَ)

8:72:12

gave shelter

āwaw (ءَاوَوْا)

8:72:13

and helped

wanaṣarū (وَنَصَرُوا)

8:72:14

those

ulāika (أُولَئِكَ)

8:72:15

some of them

baʿḍuhum (بَعْضُهُمْ)

8:72:16

(are) allies

awliyāu (أَوْلِيَاءُ)

8:72:17

(of) another

baʿḍin (بَعْضٍ)

8:72:18

But those who

wa-alladhīna (وَالَّذِينَ)

8:72:19

believed

āmanū (ءَامَنُوا)

8:72:20

and (did) not

walam (وَلَمْ)

ل م (root)

8:72:21

emigrate

yuhājirū (يُهَاجِرُوا)

8:72:22

(it is) not

mā (مَا)

8:72:23

for you

lakum (لَكُمْ)

8:72:24

from

min (مِنْ)

their protection

walāyatihim (وَلَايَتِهِمْ)

8:72:26

(in)

min (مِنْ)

anything

shayin (شَيْءٍ)

until

ḥattā (حَتَّى)

they emigrate

yuhājirū (يُهَاجِرُوا)

And if

wa-ini (وَإِنِ)

they seek your help

is'tanṣarūkum (اسْتَنْصَرُوكُمْ)

in

fī (فِي)

the religion

l-dīni (الدِّينِ)

then upon you

faʿalaykumu (فَعَلَيْكُمُ)

(is to) help them

l-naṣru (النَّصْرُ)

illā (إِلَّا)

against

a people

qawmin (قَوْمٍ)

between you

baynakum (بَيْنَكُمْ)

and between them

wabaynahum (وَبَيْنَهُمْ)

(is) a treaty

mīthāqun (مِيثَاقٌ)

And Allah

you do

(is) All-Seer

And those who

wa-alladhīna (وَالَّذِينَ)

disbelieve

kafarū (كَفَرُوا)

some of them

baʿḍuhum (بَعْضُهُمْ)

(are) allies

awliyāu (أَوْلِيَاءُ)

8:73:5

(to) another

baʿḍin (بَعْضٍ)

8:73:6

If not

illā (إِلَّا)

8:73:7

you do it

tafʿalūhu (تَفْعَلُوهُ)

(there) will be

takun (تَكُنْ)

oppression

fit'natun (فِتْنَةٌ)

in

the earth

and corruption

wafasādun (وَفَسَادٌ)

great

kabīrun (كَبِيرٌ)

And those who

wa-alladhīna (وَالَّذِينَ)

believed

and emigrated

and strove hard

they (are)

the believers

l-mu'minūna (الْمُؤْمِنُونَ)

(in) truth

ḥaqqan (حَقًّا)

8:74:15

For them

lahum (لَهُمْ)

8:74:16

(is) forgiveness

maghfiratun (مَغْفِرَةٌ)

8:74:17

and a provision

wariz'qun (وَرِزْقٌ)

8:74:18

noble

karīmun (كَرِيمٌ)

And those who

wa-alladhīna (وَالَّذِينَ)

8:75:2

believed

āmanū (ءَامَنُوا)

from

afterwards

and emigrated

and strove hard

(are) nearer

awlā (أَوْلَى)
