wa-iʿ'lamū (وَاعْلَمُوا)

that you

annakum (أَنَّكُمْ)

(can) not

ghayru (غَيْرُ)

escape

muʿ'jizī (مُعْجِزِي)

Allah

l-lahi (اللَّهِ)

and that

wa-anna (وَأَنَّ)

9:2:12

Allah

l-laha (اللَّهَ)

(is) the One Who (will) disgrace

mukh'zī (مُخْزِي)

the disbelievers

l-kāfirīna (الْكَافِرِينَ)

9:3:1

And an announcement

wa-adhānun (وَأَذَانٌ)

9:3:2

from

mina (مِنَ)

9:3:3

Allah

l-lahi (اللَّهِ)

9:3:4

and His Messenger

warasūlihi (وَرَسُولِهِ)

9:3:5

to

ilā (إِلَى)

9:3:6

the people

l-nāsi (النَّاسِ)

(on the) day

yawma (يَوْمَ)

9:3:8

(of) the Pilgrimage

l-ḥaji (الْحَجِّ)

(of) the greater

l-akbari (الْأَكْبَرِ)

that

anna (أَنَّ)

9:3:11

Allah

l-laha (اللَّهَ)

(is) free from obligations

barīon (بَرِيءٌ)

[of]

mina (مِنَ)

(to) the polytheists

l-mush'rikīna (الْمُشْرِكِينَ)

9:3:15

and (so is) His Messenger

warasūluhu (وَرَسُولُهُ)

So if

fa-in (فَإِنْ)

9:3:17

you repent

tub'tum (تُبْتُمْ)

9:3:18

then it is

fahuwa (فَهُوَ)

9:3:19

best

khayrun (خَيْرٌ)

9:3:20

for you

lakum (لَكُمْ)

9:3:21

But if

wa-in (وَإِنْ)

9:3:22

you turn away

tawallaytum (تَوَلَّيْتُمْ)

9:3:23

then know

fa-iʿ'lamū (فَاعْلَمُوا)

9:3:24

that you

annakum (أَنَّكُمْ)

9:3:25

(can) not

ghayru (غَيْرُ)

escape

muʿ'jizī (مُعْجِزِي)

Allah

l-lahi (اللَّهِ)

And give glad tidings

wabashiri (وَبَشِّرِ)

(to) those who

alladhīna (الَّذِينَ)

9:3:30

disbelieve

kafarū (كَفَرُوا)

9:3:31

of a punishment

biʿadhābin (بِعَذَابٍ)

9:3:32

painful

alīmin (أَلِيمٍ)

9:4:1

Except

illā (إِلَّا)

9:4:2

those (with) whom

alladhīna (الَّذِينَ)

9:4:3

you have a covenant

ʿāhadttum (عَاهَدْتُمْ)

9:4:4

among

mina (مِنَ)

9:4:5

the polytheists

l-mush'rikīna (الْمُشْرِكِينَ)

9:4:6

then

thumma (ثُمَّ)

9:4:7

not

lam (لَمْ)

9:4:8

they have failed you

yanquṣūkum (يَنْقُصُوكُمْ)

(in any) thing

shayan (شَيْئًا)

9:4:10

and not

walam (وَلَمْ)

9:4:11

they have supported

yuẓāhirū (يُظَاهِرُوا)

9:4:12

against you

ʿalaykum (عَلَيْكُمْ)

9:4:13

anyone

aḥadan (أَحَدًا)

9:4:14

so fulfil

fa-atimmū (فَأَتِمُّوا)

to them

ilayhim (إِلَيْهِمْ)

9:4:16

their treaty

ʿahdahum (عَهْدَهُمْ)

9:4:17

till

ilā (إِلَى)

9:4:18

their term

muddatihim (مُدَّتِهِمْ)

Indeed

inna (إِنَّ)

Allah

l-laha (اللَّهَ)

loves

yuḥibbu (يُحِبُّ)

the righteous

l-mutaqīna (الْمُتَّقِينَ)

Then when

fa-idhā (فَإِذَا)

9:5:2

have passed

insalakha (انْسَلَخَ)

the months

l-ashhuru (الْأَشْهُرُ)

9:5:4

sacred

l-ḥurumu (الْحُرُمُ)

9:5:5

then kill

fa-uq'tulū (فَاقْتُلُوا)

9:5:6

the polytheists

l-mush'rikīna (الْمُشْرِكِينَ)

9:5:7

wherever

ḥaythu (حَيْثُ)

you find them

wajadttumūhum (وَجَدْتُمُوهُمْ)

9:5:9

and seize them

wakhudhūhum (وَخُذُوهُمْ)

9:5:10

and besiege them

wa-uḥ'ṣurūhum (وَاحْصُرُوهُمْ)

and sit (in wait)

wa-uq'ʿudū (وَاقْعُدُوا)

9:5:12

for them

lahum (لَهُمْ)

(at) every

kulla (كُلَّ)

place of ambush

marṣadin (مَرْصَدٍ)

But if

fa-in (فَإِنْ)

they repent

tābū (تَابُوا)

and establish

wa-aqāmū (وَأَقَامُوا)

the prayer

l-ṣalata (الصَّلَوةَ)

and give

waātawū (وَءَاتَوُا)

9:5:20

the zakah

l-zakata (الزَّكَوةَ)

9:5:21

then leave

fakhallū (فَخَلُّوا)

their way

sabīlahum (سَبِيلَهُمْ)

Indeed

inna (إِنَّ)

Allah

(is) Oft-Forgiving

ghafūrun (غَفُورٌ)

Most Merciful

raḥīmun (رَحِيمٌ)

9:6:1

And if

wa-in (وَإِنْ)

9:6:2

anyone

aḥadun (أَحَدٌ)

9:6:3

of

mina (مِنَ)

9:6:4

the polytheists

l-mush'rikīna (الْمُشْرِكِينَ)

seek your protection

is'tajāraka (اسْتَجَارَكَ)

then grant him protection

fa-ajir'hu (فَأَجِرْهُ)

he hears

(are) a people

(who) do know

for the polytheists

a covenant

Allah

those (with) whom

you made a covenant

near

Al-Masjid

l-masjidi (الْمَسْجِدِ)

9:7:14

Al-Haraam

l-ḥarāmi (الْحَرَامِ)

9:7:15

So long as

famā (فَمَا)

9:7:16

they are upright

is'taqāmū (اسْتَقَامُوا)

9:7:17

to you

lakum (لَكُمْ)

9:7:18

then you be upright

fa-is'taqīmū (فَاسْتَقِيمُوا)

9:7:19

to them

lahum (لَهُمْ)

9:7:20

Indeed

inna (إِنَّ)

9:7:21

Allah

l-laha (اللَّهَ)

loves

yuḥibbu (يُحِبُّ)

9:7:23

the righteous

l-mutaqīna (الْمُتَّقِينَ)

9:8:1

How

kayfa (كَيْفَ)

while if

wa-in (وَإِنْ)

they gain dominance

yaẓharū (يَظْهَرُوا)

over you

they do regard (the ties)

yarqubū (يَرْقُبُوا)

with you

(of) kinship

and not

walā (وَلَا)

covenant of protection

dhimmatan (ذِمَّةً)

They satisfy you

yur'ḍūnakum (يُرْضُونَكُمْ)

with their mouths

bi-afwāhihim (بِأَفْوَاهِهِمْ)

but refuse

watabā (وَتَأْبَى)

ا ب ى (root)

9:8:14

their hearts

qulūbuhum (قُلُوبُهُمْ)

9:8:15

and most of them

wa-aktharuhum (وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ)

9:8:16

(are) defiantly disobedient

fāsiqūna (فَاسِقُونَ)

9:9:1

They exchange

ish'taraw (اشْتَرَوْا)

[with] the Verses

(of) Allah

(for) a price

and they hinder (people)

faṣaddū (فَصَدُّوا)

evil

they used to

kānū (كَانُوا)

do

yaʿmalūna (يَعْمَلُونَ)

9:10:1

Not

lā (لَا)

9:10:2

they respect (the ties)

yarqubūna (يَرْقُبُونَ)

towards

fī (فِي)

a believer

mu'minin (مُؤْمِنٍ)

(of) kinship

illan (إِلًّا)

covenant of protection

And those

wa-ulāika (وَأُولَئِكَ)

[they]

(are) the transgressors

l-muʿ'tadūna (الْمُعْتَدُونَ)

But if

fa-in (فَإِنْ)

9:11:2

they repent

tābū (تَابُوا)

9:11:3

and establish

wa-aqāmū (وَأَقَامُوا)

9:11:4

the prayer

l-ṣalata (الصَّلَوةَ)

and give

the zakah

then (they are) your brothers

fa-ikh'wānukum (فَإِخْوَانُكُمْ)

you fight

to drive out

the Messenger

began (to attack) you

Do you fear them

atakhshawnahum (أَتَخْشَوْنَهُمْ)

But Allah

(has) more right

aḥaqqu (أَحَقُّ)

that

9:13:17

you should fear Him

takhshawhu (تَخْشَوْهُ)

if

in (إِنْ)

you are

kuntum (كُنْتُمْ)

9:13:20

believers

mu'minīna (مُؤْمِنِينَ)

9:14:1

Fight them

qātilūhum (قَاتِلُوهُمْ)

9:14:2

will punish them

yuʿadhib'humu (يُعَذِّبْهُمُ)

9:14:3

Allah

l-lahu (اللَّهُ)

by your hands

bi-aydīkum (بِأَيْدِيكُمْ)

9:14:5

and disgrace them

wayukh'zihim (وَيُخْزِهِمْ)

and give you victory

wayanṣur'kum (وَيَنْصُرْكُمْ)

9:14:7

over them

ʿalayhim (عَلَيْهِمْ)

9:14:8

and will heal

wayashfi (وَيَشْفِ)

(the) breasts

ṣudūra (صُدُورَ)

(of) a people

qawmin (قَوْمٍ)

(who are) believers

mu'minīna (مُؤْمِنِينَ)

And remove

wayudh'hib (وَيُذْهِبْ)

(the) anger

ghayẓa (غَيْظَ)

(of) their hearts

qulūbihim (قُلُوبِهِمْ)

And accepts repentance

wayatūbu (وَيَتُوبُ)

Allah

l-lahu (اللَّهُ)

whom

man (مَنْ)

He wills

yashāu (يَشَاءُ)

9:15:9

And Allah

wal-lahu (وَاللَّهُ)

(is) All-Knower

ʿalīmun (عَلِيمٌ)

All-Wise

ḥakīmun (حَكِيمٌ)

Or

(do) you think

ḥasib'tum (حَسِبْتُمْ)

that

an (أَنْ)

you would be left

tut'rakū (تُتْرَكُوا)

made evident

Allah

strive

jāhadū (جَاهَدُوا)

among you

minkum (مِنْكُمْ)

and not

walam (وَلَمْ)

take

yattakhidhū (يَتَّخِذُوا)

besides

dūni (دُونِ)

Allah

and not

His Messenger

the believers

(as) intimates

(is) All-Aware

for the polytheists

they maintain

(the) masajid

(of) Allah

(while) witnessing

shāhidīna (شَاهِدِينَ)

themselves

anfusihim (أَنْفُسِهِمْ)

[with] disbelief

bil-kuf'ri (بِالْكُفْرِ)

(For) those

ulāika (أُولَئِكَ)

worthless

ḥabiṭat (حَبِطَتْ)

(are) their deeds

aʿmāluhum (أَعْمَالُهُمْ)

and in

wafī (وَفِي)

the Fire

l-nāri (النَّارِ)

they

hum (هُمْ)

(will) abide forever

khālidūna (خَالِدُونَ)

Only

innamā (إِنَّمَا)

9:18:2

will maintain

yaʿmuru (يَعْمُرُ)

(the) masajid

masājida (مَسَاجِدَ)

(of) Allah

(the one) who

man (مَنْ)

believes

and the Day

wal-yawmi (وَالْيَوْمِ)

the Last

l-ākhiri (الْءَاخِرِ)

and establishes

wa-aqāma (وَأَقَامَ)

the prayer

and gives

the zakah

like (the one) who

in Allah

and the Day

the Last

and strives

and emigrated

the Hereafter

(of) the world

All-Powerful

for them

the distance

l-shuqatu (الشُّقَّةُ)

And they will swear

wasayaḥlifūna (وَسَيَحْلِفُونَ)

by Allah

bil-lahi (بِاللَّهِ)

certainly we (would) have come forth

They destroy

their own selves

anfusahum (أَنْفُسَهُمْ)

and Allah

(that) indeed they

(are) surely liars

lakādhibūna (لَكَاذِبُونَ)

(May) forgive

were truthful

and you knew

wataʿlama (وَتَعْلَمَ)

the liars

(Would) ask your permission

those who

alladhīna (الَّذِينَ)

believe

in Allah

and the Day

wal-yawmi (وَالْيَوْمِ)

the Last

l-ākhiri (الْءَاخِرِ)

that

they strive

yujāhidū (يُجَاهِدُوا)

with their wealth

and their lives

And Allah

(is) All-Knower

of the righteous

wa-ir'tābat (وَارْتَابَتْ)

surely they (would) have prepared

disliked

so He made them lag behind

seeking (for) you

dissension

And among you (are some)

wafīkum (وَفِيكُمْ)

who would have listened

sammāʿūna (سَمَّاعُونَ)

to them

lahum (لَهُمْ)

9:47:15

And Allah

wal-lahu (وَاللَّهُ)

(is) All-Knower

ʿalīmun (عَلِيمٌ)

of the wrongdoers

bil-ẓālimīna (بِالظَّالِمِينَ)

Verily

laqadi (لَقَدِ)

they had sought

ib'taghawū (ابْتَغَوُا)

dissension

l-fit'nata (الْفِتْنَةَ)

from

before

and had upset

the matters

the truth

and became manifest

while they

disliked (it)

kārihūna (كَارِهُونَ)

And among them

wamin'hum (وَمِنْهُمْ)

(is he) who

man (مَنْ)

Grant leave

i'dhan (ائْذَنْ)

(for) me

and (do) not

walā (وَلَا)

put me to trial

Surely

alā (أَلَا)

in

the trial

l-fit'nati (الْفِتْنَةِ)

they have fallen

saqaṭū (سَقَطُوا)

And indeed

wa-inna (وَإِنَّ)

Hell

jahannama (جَهَنَّمَ)

9:49:14

(will) surely surround

lamuḥīṭatun (لَمُحِيطَةٌ)

the disbelievers

bil-kāfirīna (بِالْكَافِرِينَ)

9:50:1

If

in (إِنْ)

9:50:2

befalls you

tuṣib'ka (تُصِبْكَ)

9:50:3

good

ḥasanatun (حَسَنَةٌ)

9:50:4

it distresses them

tasu'hum (تَسُؤْهُمْ)

9:50:5

but if

wa-in (وَإِنْ)

9:50:6

befalls you

tuṣib'ka (تُصِبْكَ)

9:50:7

a calamity

muṣībatun (مُصِيبَةٌ)

9:50:8

they say

yaqūlū (يَقُولُوا)

Verily

qad (قَدْ)

9:50:10

we took

akhadhnā (أَخَذْنَا)

our matter

amranā (أَمْرَنَا)

from

min (مِنْ)

before

qablu (قَبْلُ)

And they turn away

wayatawallaw (وَيَتَوَلَّوْا)

while they

wahum (وَهُمْ)

(are) rejoicing

fariḥūna (فَرِحُونَ)

will befall us

with a punishment

will be accepted

prevents them

is accepted

their contributions

and not

(to) the prayer

except

while they

(are) lazy

they spend

by Allah

indeed they

innahum (إِنَّهُمْ)

surely (are) of you

laminkum (لَمِنْكُمْ)

while not

wamā (وَمَا)

9:56:6

they

hum (هُمْ)

9:56:7

(are) of you

minkum (مِنْكُمْ)

9:56:8

but they

walākinnahum (وَلَكِنَّهُمْ)

9:56:9

(are) a people

qawmun (قَوْمٌ)

9:56:10

(who) are afraid

yafraqūna (يَفْرَقُونَ)

9:57:1

If

law (لَوْ)

9:57:2

they could find

yajidūna (يَجِدُونَ)

9:57:3

a refuge

malja-an (مَلْجَأً)

or

aw (أَوْ)

caves

maghārātin (مَغَارَاتٍ)

or

a place to enter

surely they would turn

lawallaw (لَوَلَّوْا)

to it

ilayhi (إِلَيْهِ)

and they

wahum (وَهُمْ)

run wild

yajmaḥūna (يَجْمَحُونَ)

And among them

wamin'hum (وَمِنْهُمْ)

9:58:2

(is he) who

man (مَنْ)

9:58:3

criticizes you

yalmizuka (يَلْمِزُكَ)

concerning

fī (فِي)

the charities

l-ṣadaqāti (الصَّدَقَاتِ)

9:58:6

Then if

fa-in (فَإِنْ)

9:58:7

they are given

uʿ'ṭū (أُعْطُوا)

from it

min'hā (مِنْهَا)

9:58:9

they are pleased

raḍū (رَضُوا)

9:58:10

but if

wa-in (وَإِنْ)

not

lam (لَمْ)

they are given

yuʿ'ṭaw (يُعْطَوْا)

from it

min'hā (مِنْهَا)

then

idhā (إِذَا)

they

hum (هُمْ)

(are) enraged

yaskhaṭūna (يَسْخَطُونَ)

[that] they

annahum (أَنَّهُمْ)

(were) satisfied

raḍū (رَضُوا)

(with) what

gave them

Allah

l-lahu (اللَّهُ)

and His Messenger

warasūluhu (وَرَسُولُهُ)

and said

Sufficient for us

ḥasbunā (حَسْبُنَا)

(is) Allah

l-lahu (اللَّهُ)

will give us

sayu'tīnā (سَيُؤْتِينَا)

9:59:12

Allah

l-lahu (اللَّهُ)

of

min (مِنْ)

9:59:14

His Bounty

faḍlihi (فَضْلِهِ)

9:59:15

and His Messenger

warasūluhu (وَرَسُولُهُ)

Indeed we

innā (إِنَّا)

to

ilā (إِلَى)

9:59:18

Allah

l-lahi (اللَّهِ)

turn our hopes

rāghibūna (رَاغِبُونَ)

Only

innamā (إِنَّمَا)

the charities

l-ṣadaqātu (الصَّدَقَاتُ)

(are) for the poor

lil'fuqarāi (لِلْفُقَرَاءِ)

and the needy

wal-masākīni (وَالْمَسَاكِينِ)

9:60:5

and those who collect

wal-ʿāmilīna (وَالْعَامِلِينَ)

9:60:6

them

ʿalayhā (عَلَيْهَا)

and the ones inclined

wal-mu-alafati (وَالْمُؤَلَّفَةِ)

their hearts

qulūbuhum (قُلُوبُهُمْ)

and in

wafī (وَفِي)

the (freeing of) the necks

l-riqābi (الرِّقَابِ)

and for those in debt

wal-ghārimīna (وَالْغَارِمِينَ)

and in

(the) way

sabīli (سَبِيلِ)

(of) Allah

and the

wa-ib'ni (وَابْنِ)

wayfarer

l-sabīli (السَّبِيلِ)

an obligation

farīḍatan (فَرِيضَةً)

Allah

And Allah

(is) All-Knowing

hurt

the Prophet

and they say

An ear

(of) goodness

for you

he believes

in Allah

bil-lahi (بِاللَّهِ)

and believes

wayu'minu (وَيُؤْمِنُ)

the believers

lil'mu'minīna (لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ)

and (is) a mercy

waraḥmatun (وَرَحْمَةٌ)

9:61:17

to those who

lilladhīna (لِلَّذِينَ)

9:61:18

believe

āmanū (ءَامَنُوا)

9:61:19

among you

minkum (مِنْكُمْ)

9:61:20

And those who

wa-alladhīna (وَالَّذِينَ)

9:61:21

hurt

yu'dhūna (يُؤْذُونَ)

(the) Messenger

rasūla (رَسُولَ)

(of) Allah

l-lahi (اللَّهِ)

for them

(is) a punishment

painful

to please you

And Allah

and His Messenger

(have) more right

they should please Him

they are

believers

mu'minīna (مُؤْمِنِينَ)

Do not

alam (أَلَمْ)

they know

that he

opposes

others

They enjoin

the wrong

bil-munkari (بِالْمُنْكَرِ)

and forbid

wayanhawna (وَيَنْهَوْنَ)

what

(is) the right

l-maʿrūfi (الْمَعْرُوفِ)

and they close

wayaqbiḍūna (وَيَقْبِضُونَ)

their hands

They forget

and the hypocrite women

and the disbelievers

and more abundant

and children

wa-awlādan (وَأَوْلَادًا)

So they enjoyed

fa-is'tamtaʿū (فَاسْتَمْتَعُوا)

their portion

bikhalāqihim (بِخَلَاقِهِمْ)

and you have enjoyed

fa-is'tamtaʿtum (فَاسْتَمْتَعْتُمْ)

your portion

and (the) companions

(of) Madyan

madyana (مَدْيَنَ)

and the towns overturned

wal-mu'tafikāti (وَالْمُؤْتَفِكَاتِ)

Came to them

atathum (أَتَتْهُمْ)

their Messengers

rusuluhum (رُسُلُهُمْ)

with clear proofs

bil-bayināti (بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ)

And not

was

kāna (كَانَ)

Allah

to wrong them

liyaẓlimahum (لِيَظْلِمَهُمْ)

but

they were (to)

kānū (كَانُوا)

themselves

doing wrong

And the believing men

wal-mu'minūna (وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ)

and the believing women

wal-mu'minātu (وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتُ)

some of them

baʿḍuhum (بَعْضُهُمْ)

(are) allies

awliyāu (أَوْلِيَاءُ)

(of) others

baʿḍin (بَعْضٍ)

They enjoin

yamurūna (يَأْمُرُونَ)

the right

bil-maʿrūfi (بِالْمَعْرُوفِ)

9:71:8

and forbid

wayanhawna (وَيَنْهَوْنَ)

from

the wrong

l-munkari (الْمُنْكَرِ)

and they establish

the prayer

Allah

and His Messenger

min (مِنْ)

His Bounty

faḍlihi (فَضْلِهِ)

So if

fa-in (فَإِنْ)

they repent

yatūbū (يَتُوبُوا)

9:74:27

it is

yaku (يَكُ)

9:74:28

better

khayran (خَيْرًا)

9:74:29

for them

lahum (لَهُمْ)

9:74:30

and if

wa-in (وَإِنْ)

9:74:31

they turn away

yatawallaw (يَتَوَلَّوْا)

will punish them

yuʿadhib'humu (يُعَذِّبْهُمُ)

Allah

(with) a punishment

painful

alīman (أَلِيمًا)

the world

l-dun'yā (الدُّنْيَا)

and (in) the Hereafter

wal-ākhirati (وَالْءَاخِرَةِ)

And not

wamā (وَمَا)

for them

lahum (لَهُمْ)

in

the earth

l-arḍi (الْأَرْضِ)

9:74:43

any

min (مِنْ)

protector

waliyyin (وَلِيٍّ)

9:74:45

and not

walā (وَلَا)

9:74:46

a helper

naṣīrin (نَصِيرٍ)

9:75:1

And among them

wamin'hum (وَمِنْهُمْ)

(is he) who

man (مَنْ)

9:75:3

made a covenant

ʿāhada (عَاهَدَ)

9:75:4

(with) Allah

l-laha (اللَّهَ)

9:75:5

If

la-in (لَئِنْ)

He gives us

ātānā (ءَاتَانَا)

9:75:7

of

min (مِنْ)

His bounty

faḍlihi (فَضْلِهِ)

surely we will give charity

lanaṣṣaddaqanna (لَنَصَّدَّقَنَّ)

9:75:10

and surely we will be

walanakūnanna (وَلَنَكُونَنَّ)

9:75:11

among

mina (مِنَ)

the righteous

l-ṣāliḥīna (الصَّالِحِينَ)

He gave them

His Bounty

they became stingy

with it

and turned away

watawallaw (وَتَوَلَّوْا)

while they

(were) averse

So He penalized them

fa-aʿqabahum (فَأَعْقَبَهُمْ)

(with) hypocrisy

their hearts

when they will meet Him

they broke

akhlafū (أَخْلَفُوا)

(the covenant with) Allah

they had promised Him

and because

wabimā (وَبِمَا)

they used to

kānū (كَانُوا)

lie

yakdhibūna (يَكْذِبُونَ)

Do not

alam (أَلَمْ)

they know

yaʿlamū (يَعْلَمُوا)

9:78:3

that

anna (أَنَّ)

9:78:4

Allah

l-laha (اللَّهَ)

knows

yaʿlamu (يَعْلَمُ)

their secret

sirrahum (سِرَّهُمْ)

and their secret conversation

the people

the defiantly disobedient

Rejoice

lil'khurūji (لِلْخُرُوجِ)

Never

will you come out

takhrujū (تَخْرُجُوا)

with me

maʿiya (مَعِيَ)

ever

abadan (أَبَدًا)

and never

walan (وَلَنْ)

9:83:15

will you fight

tuqātilū (تُقَاتِلُوا)

with me

any enemy

ʿaduwwan (عَدُوًّا)

Indeed you

innakum (إِنَّكُمْ)

were satisfied

raḍītum (رَضِيتُمْ)

with sitting

bil-quʿūdi (بِالْقُعُودِ)

9:83:21

(the) first

awwala (أَوَّلَ)

9:83:22

time

marratin (مَرَّةٍ)

9:83:23

so sit

fa-uq'ʿudū (فَاقْعُدُوا)

9:83:24

with

maʿa (مَعَ)

9:83:25

those who stay behind

l-khālifīna (الْخَالِفِينَ)

9:84:1

And not

walā (وَلَا)

9:84:2

you pray

tuṣalli (تُصَلِّ)

9:84:3

for

ʿalā (عَلَى)

9:84:4

any

aḥadin (أَحَدٍ)

9:84:5

of them

min'hum (مِنْهُمْ)

who dies

māta (مَاتَ)

ever

abadan (أَبَدًا)

and not

walā (وَلَا)

you stand

taqum (تَقُمْ)

by

ʿalā (عَلَى)

his grave

qabrihi (قَبْرِهِ)

Indeed they

disbelieved

in Allah

and His Messenger

and died

wamātū (وَمَاتُوا)

while they were

defiantly disobedient

fāsiqūna (فَاسِقُونَ)

And (let) not

impress you

tuʿ'jib'ka (تُعْجِبْكَ)

their wealth

and their children

Allah

punish them

the world

(are) the good things

l-khayrātu (الْخَيْرَاتُ)

and those

wa-ulāika (وَأُولَئِكَ)

they

(are) the successful ones

l-muf'liḥūna (الْمُفْلِحُونَ)

the bedouins

to them

and sat

those who

(to) Allah

and His Messenger

Will strike

those who

alladhīna (الَّذِينَ)

disbelieved

a punishment

Verily

(has) informed us

nabba-anā (نَبَّأَنَا)

Allah

l-lahu (اللَّهُ)

your news

akhbārikum (أَخْبَارِكُمْ)

and will see

wasayarā (وَسَيَرَى)

Allah

your deeds

and His Messenger

you will be brought back

(the) Knower

ʿālimi (عَالِمِ)

(of) the unseen

wal-shahādati (وَالشَّهَادَةِ)

then He will inform you

fayunabbi-ukum (فَيُنَبِّئُكُمْ)

of what

kuntum (كُنْتُمْ)

9:94:30

do

taʿmalūna (تَعْمَلُونَ)

9:95:1

They will swear

sayaḥlifūna (سَيَحْلِفُونَ)

9:95:2

by Allah

bil-lahi (بِاللَّهِ)

9:95:3

to you

lakum (لَكُمْ)

9:95:4

when

idhā (إِذَا)

9:95:5

you returned

inqalabtum (انْقَلَبْتُمْ)

9:95:6

to them

ilayhim (إِلَيْهِمْ)

9:95:7

that you may turn away

lituʿ'riḍū (لِتُعْرِضُوا)

9:95:8

from them

ʿanhum (عَنْهُمْ)

9:95:9

So turn away

fa-aʿriḍū (فَأَعْرِضُوا)

9:95:10

from them

ʿanhum (عَنْهُمْ)

indeed they

innahum (إِنَّهُمْ)

(are) impure

rij'sun (رِجْسٌ)

and their abode

wamawāhum (وَمَأْوَاهُمْ)

(is) Hell

jahannamu (جَهَنَّمُ)

a recompense

jazāan (جَزَاءً)

they used (to)

kānū (كَانُوا)

earn

yaksibūna (يَكْسِبُونَ)

They swear

to you

that you may be pleased

you are pleased

with them

then indeed

Allah

(is) pleased

yarḍā (يَرْضَى)

with

the people

l-qawmi (الْقَوْمِ)

9:96:14

(who are) defiantly disobedient

l-fāsiqīna (الْفَاسِقِينَ)

9:97:1

The bedouins

al-aʿrābu (الْأَعْرَابُ)

9:97:2

(are) stronger

ashaddu (أَشَدُّ)

(in) disbelief

kuf'ran (كُفْرًا)

and hypocrisy

wanifāqan (وَنِفَاقًا)

and more likely

they know

yaʿlamū (يَعْلَمُوا)

(the) limits

ḥudūda (حُدُودَ)

(has) revealed

anzala (أَنْزَلَ)

Allah

His Messenger

And Allah

All-Wise

the bedouins

l-aʿrābi (الْأَعْرَابِ)

(is he) who

man (مَنْ)

takes

yattakhidhu (يَتَّخِذُ)

9:98:5

what

mā (مَا)

9:98:6

he spends

yunfiqu (يُنْفِقُ)

9:98:7

(as) a loss

maghraman (مَغْرَمًا)

and he awaits

wayatarabbaṣu (وَيَتَرَبَّصُ)

for you

bikumu (بِكُمُ)

the turns (of misfortune)

l-dawāira (الدَّوَائِرَ)

Upon them

ʿalayhim (عَلَيْهِمْ)

(will be) the turn

dāiratu (دَائِرَةُ)

(of) the evil

l-sawi (السَّوْءِ)

And Allah

(is) All-Hearer

All-Knower

But among

the bedouins

l-aʿrābi (الْأَعْرَابِ)

(is he) who

in Allah

bil-lahi (بِاللَّهِ)

and the Day

wal-yawmi (وَالْيَوْمِ)

the Last

l-ākhiri (الْءَاخِرِ)

and takes

wayattakhidhu (وَيَتَّخِذُ)

9:99:9

what

he spends

(as) means of nearness

qurubātin (قُرُبَاتٍ)

and blessings

(of) the Messenger

(is) a means of nearness

qur'batun (قُرْبَةٌ)

for them

will admit them

followed them

in righteousness

bi-iḥ'sānin (بِإِحْسَانٍ)

is pleased

raḍiya (رَضِيَ)

Allah

and they are pleased

waraḍū (وَرَضُوا)

with Him

And He has prepared

wa-aʿadda (وَأَعَدَّ)

for them

Gardens

jannātin (جَنَّاتٍ)

9:100:17

flows

tajrī (تَجْرِي)

underneath it

taḥtahā (تَحْتَهَا)

the rivers

l-anhāru (الْأَنْهَارُ)

will abide

khālidīna (خَالِدِينَ)

in it

fīhā (فِيهَا)

forever

That

dhālika (ذَلِكَ)

(is) the success

the great

l-ʿaẓīmu (الْعَظِيمُ)

And among those

wamimman (وَمِمَّنْ)

9:101:2

around you

ḥawlakum (حَوْلَكُمْ)

mina (مِنَ)

the bedouins

l-aʿrābi (الْأَعْرَابِ)

(are) hypocrites

munāfiqūna (مُنَافِقُونَ)

and (also) from

wamin (وَمِنْ)

people

ahli (أَهْلِ)

(of) the Madinah

l-madīnati (الْمَدِينَةِ)

They persist

the hypocrisy

(that was) evil

Perhaps

will turn (in mercy)

to them

(is) Oft-Forgiving

Most Merciful

amwālihim (أَمْوَالِهِمْ)

a charity

ṣadaqatan (صَدَقَةً)

purifying them

and cause them increase

by it

and bless

Indeed

your blessings

ṣalataka (صَلَوَتَكَ)

(are a) reassurance

sakanun (سَكَنٌ)

for them

lahum (لَهُمْ)

And Allah

wal-lahu (وَاللَّهُ)

(is) All-Hearer

All-Knower

Do not

they know

the repentance

His slaves

the charities

(is) the Acceptor of repentance

the Most Merciful

Do

9:105:3

then will see

fasayarā (فَسَيَرَى)

Allah

your deed

and His Messenger

and the believers

wal-mu'minūna (وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ)

And you will be brought back

wasaturaddūna (وَسَتُرَدُّونَ)

(the) Knower

He will turn (in mercy)

And Allah

All-Wise

And those who

wa-alladhīna (وَالَّذِينَ)

a masjid

masjidan (مَسْجِدًا)

9:107:4

(for causing) harm

ḍirāran (ضِرَارًا)

and (for) disbelief

wakuf'ran (وَكُفْرًا)

9:107:6

and (for) division

watafrīqan (وَتَفْرِيقًا)

9:107:7

among

bayna (بَيْنَ)

the believers

l-mu'minīna (الْمُؤْمِنِينَ)

9:107:9

and (as) a station

wa-ir'ṣādan (وَإِرْصَادًا)

for whoever

warred

ḥāraba (حَارَبَ)

(against) Allah

and His Messenger

And surely they will swear

the good

But Allah

(are) surely liars

they slay

and they are slain

A promise

waʿdan (وَعْدًا)

upon Him

they ask forgiveness

for the polytheists

they be

ʿalaykum (عَلَيْكُمْ)

to the believers

bil-mu'minīna (بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ)

9:128:13

(he is) kind

raūfun (رَءُوفٌ)

(and) merciful

raḥīmun (رَحِيمٌ)

But if

fa-in (فَإِنْ)

they turn away

tawallaw (تَوَلَّوْا)

9:129:3

then say

faqul (فَقُلْ)

Sufficient for me

ḥasbiya (حَسْبِيَ)

9:129:5

(is) Allah

l-lahu (اللَّهُ)

9:129:6

(There is) no

lā (لَا)

9:129:7

god

ilāha (إِلَهَ)

9:129:8

except

illā (إِلَّا)

9:129:9

Him

huwa (هُوَ)

9:129:10

On Him

ʿalayhi (عَلَيْهِ)

I put my trust

tawakkaltu (تَوَكَّلْتُ)

And He

wahuwa (وَهُوَ)

9:129:13

(is the) Lord

rabbu (رَبُّ)

(of) the Throne

l-ʿarshi (الْعَرْشِ)

the Great

l-ʿaẓīmi (الْعَظِيمِ)
