Surah Al-Infitar (The Cleaving) is the 82. surah in Quran.Al-Infitar surah is listed as the 82. by revelation order.

It is considered to be a Meccan Surah as it was believed to be revealed in Mecca. The name of this surah is a reference to the judgment day just like the previous surah and takes its name from the word in the opening ayah.

This surah also starts with the signs of the judgment day and questions why humans do not believe the creator after seeing so many of its miracles. Ayat 10-12 explains that all that happens in a human's life is being recorded by the angels. 

The surah ends with explaining that On the judgment day the righteous shall be rewarded and the wicked punished.

82:1
When the sky breaks apart
Izas samaaa’un fatarat
إذا ٱلسمآء ٱنفطرت
82:2
And when the stars fall, scattering,
Wa izal kawaakibun tasarat
وإذا ٱلكواكب ٱنتثرت
82:3
And when the seas are erupted
Wa izal bihaaru fujjirat
وإذا ٱلبحار فجرت
82:4
And when the [contents of] graves are scattered [i.e., exposed],
Wa izal qubooru bu’sirat
وإذا ٱلقبور بعثرت
82:5
A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back.
Alimat nafsum maa qaddamat wa akhkharat
علمت نفس ما قدمت وأخرت
82:6
O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous,
Yaaa ayyuhal insaaanu maa gharraka bi Rabbikal kareem
يـأيها ٱلإنسـن ما غرك بربك ٱلكريم
82:7
Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you?
Allazee khalaqaka fasaw waaka fa’adalak
ٱلذى خلقك فسوىك فعدلك
82:8
In whatever form He willed has He assembled you.
Feee ayye sooratim maa shaaa’a rakkabak
فى أى صورة ما شاء ركبك
82:9
No! But you deny the Recompense.
Kalla bal tukazziboona bid deen
كلا بل تكذبون بٱلدين
82:10
And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers,
Wa inna ‘alaikum lahaa fizeen
وإن عليكم لحـفظين
82:11
Noble and recording;
Kiraaman kaatibeen
كراما كـتبين
82:12
They know whatever you do.
Ya’lamoona ma taf’aloon
يعلمون ما تفعلون
82:13
Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure,
Innal abraara lafee na’eem
إن ٱلأبرار لفى نعيم
82:14
And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire.
Wa innal fujjaara lafee jaheem
وإن ٱلفجار لفى جحيم
82:15
They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense,
Yaslawnahaa Yawmad Deen
يصلونها يوم ٱلدين
82:16
And never therefrom will they be absent.
Wa maa hum ‘anhaa bighaaa ‘ibeen
وما هم عنها بغائبين
82:17
And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense?
Wa maaa adraaka maa Yawmud Deen
وما أدرىك ما يوم ٱلدين
82:18
Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense?
Summa maaa adraaka maa Yawmud Deen
ثم ما أدرىك ما يوم ٱلدين
82:19
It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allāh.
Yawma laa tamliku nafsul linafsin shai’anw walamru yawma’izil lillaah
يوم لا تملك نفس لنفس شيـا وٱلأمر يومئذ لله
