It is named "Ṭā Hā" because the chapter starts with the Arabic muqaṭṭaʿāt letters. , it is traditionally believed to be a Meccan surah, from the second Meccan period.
Among the subjects treated in this chapter are God's call of Moses (Quran 20:10), the Exodus of the Israelites and the crossing of the Red Sea (20:77), the worship of the Golden Calf (20:88) and the Fall of Man (20:120). The main theme of the chapter is about the existence of God. It addresses this theme through stories about Moses and Adam. It is believed that this is the chapter that convinced Umar to convert to Islam.
This surah starts with the proclaims the greatness of Allah and the first part continues with the story of Moses in detail in how he became a prophet, why he requested his brother’s help and his interaction with the Pharaoh and his magician. The first part ends with Pharaoh and his army was drowned. The second part was about the saved people of Israelites and how they strayed from the word of God by worshiping the golden calf.
The final part of this surah talks about the story of Adam, thematically the same story as Moses. How Adam becomes to be and all angels except Iblis bows down to Adam. God warns against the devil but Adam and Eve fall to the devil’s trick and God forgives them but expels them from Paradise.
