Surah Fatir

Surah Fatir (Originator) is the 35. surah in Quran.Fatir surah is listed as the 43. by revelation order.

The meaning of surah Fatir is Originator. In total this surah is consist of 45 auahs. You can read Fatir by word by word if you would like to examine it in details or click one of the ayahs below to check that ayah only.

It is considered to be a Meccan surah as it was revealed in Mecca. The surah is also known as Al-Mala’ikaha which means Angels. The surah takes its name from the first ayah.

In this Surah Allah warns the non-believers on their negative attitude towards Islam and Prophet Muhammad. The main premise of this Surah is to reiterate the oneness of Allah who is the originator, creator, and how all things rely upon him as the provider.

All prophets were denied. God is the creator of all things and knoweth of all things. Both the moon and the sun glorify God. Man needs God but God needs nothing. Everyone will be responsible for their own deeds on the day of the judgment. Every nation was sent down their own prophets. God rewards the charitable. The Quran is a confirmation of previous books sent down. Arab polytheists were admonished to see the fate of previous nations before them.
