It is considered to be a Meccan Surah as it was believed to be revealed in Mecca. The name of surah comes from the reference to the prophet Muhammad.
This surah commands prophet Muhammad to rise and preach Islam. It instructs believers to maintain cleanliness, monotheism, humility, and patience in his own life.
The middle part of the surah warns unbelievers for rejection of God's word and the excruciating consequences that result. God has given everything to humans and they still greedily ask for more.
God uses the word “Saqar” to describe hell as the word means scorched and continues to describe features of Hell.
30. Ayah talks about hell being guarded by nineteen angels. However, in the continuing ayat it clearly says this number is not important and only for to test unbelievers. Humans are only punished with hell because of their own actions.
The final part of the surah repeats the main message of Quran, Quran is just a reminder, and a warner, whoever wants it will accept it and no one can accept the truth and become a believer unless God wills it.
