It is believed to be revealed in Mecca in the earlier days so it is considered as a Meccan surah. The surah begins with a description of the virtues and character of a believer. It gives a target for us to strive towards to be among the righteous. This Surah invites people to accept and follow the message of Prophets.
The surah talks about important topics such as faith, messengership, resurrection and the judgment of God. The surah gives scientific examples such as the creation of humans through different stages in the womb, creation of the universe, how rain happens and it grows vegetation and the animal having various benefits for humans. All of this shows how the cycle works.
The surah talks about several prophets such as Muhammad, Noah, Hud, Moses and Jesus and how they all delivered the same message of monotheism, but were rejected and opposed by the people and how God helped and saved them all.
The surah ends with reference to the Day of Resurrection and judgment and pointing out that no one will have a second chance to amend for their mistakes and sins.
Ayat 1-10 describes how true believers should be and continues to tell how they will be rewarded.
